Twas a good game back in the day, however the multiple expansion packs have sort of diluted the awesomeness.

as far as I know you dont need them to play, you just wont be able to go to a lot of places. but I could be wrong!

No. But more than half the skills, classes and items will be unavilable.

Dont even worry about it the campaigns don't last very long and if you only have the 1st campaign no-one will be around its too late now to get into the competitive player v player now
