So heres the thing. My computer(s) arent that good and basically, they cant play WoW. I mean they can play WoW with similar graphics but the cards arent good enough to the extent where they can actually play well, its choppy.

I want a war game that is good but it doesnt necessarily have to be new. Variety of guns is good, such as snipers, rifles, pistols etc. Its Mandatory to be online and if possibly, a WW2 game is my favorite so if u no of a game thats based on WW2 and has outstanding gameplay, reccomend it to me. Graphics arent big of a deal they just cant be shitty, no shittier than say..Counterstrike 1.6 (original version). Other games based on any war is fine. I dont want a lot of "strategy" or real-life tactics in it, nothing thats similar to America's Army, its just too boring. Basically i like the way COD4 is set up, you respond fast, good variety of guns, etc. Anything like that is fine.

Heres my system info on my first computer:

512 mgb of RAM (will soon be upgraded to 1gb of RAM, no im not downloading it lol)

Nvidia Geforce 2 Mx/Mx 400 (this is the shittiest graphics card i think, i think its old and if some1 can find out how old it is, please do

The rest of the stuff is AMAZING cuz this computer is from 2005 and it came with top of the line stuff, the graphics card just sucks because my original ATI Radeon (something) graphics card somehow broke.

My second System:

Its a dell Gaming/family PC from 2001 or 2002 with 512 Mgb of RAM

The graphics card still works (and is actually better than the 1 on my normal coputer) well and can play WoW just not great

Is rarely used and is in good condition except for dust

Everything else about it sucks, the processor and everything like that is crap.

I was thinking about switching the graphics cards so that my first, non-dell compuer can play almost any game, but then i was also thinking of just buying a new 1 altogether, any ideas on what to do and how to do it, thx guys.

Sounds like battlefield 1942, or if it works on your piece of shit, try BF2. 1942 is WWII, and BF2 is modern combat. Also if you like BF series, check out BF:Vietnam

Vietcong was a good game back in the day. Nice variety of guns, lots of places to hide to give the feel of what it was actually like. In MP each side totally blends into the surroundings when you want to hide and ambush someone.

In fact, i want to play it again just from talking about it. The only thing that held it back were the technical issues, but i think your PC should run it since it's like 5 years old or close.

MOH: allied assault or BF:1942, two of the best games ever made.

A lot of the more recent games also have DX 7 and DX 8 settings in their menus, and can still be played on older computers. In fact, you could probably get away with playing COD4 on minimum settings, provided you upgrade the gpu. You could also try the original COD, it's WWII, like you want, with the same gameplay as COD 4.
Nvidia Geforce 2 Mx/Mx 400 (this is the shittiest graphics card i think, i think its old and if some1 can find out how old it is, please do I'll give you a hint. The original Xbox released in 2001 had an upgraded GeForce 3 in it. It also only supports DX 7 and before, which limits your games even more. If I were you, I'd just buy a new PCI or AGP video card for like $50.

Are you serious? You're not going to be able to play any recent game with a Geforce 2 graphics card, no less with an MX edition. I'm assuming it has about 64mb of onboard memory, which is not enough to play most intensive 3d games. You might get away with playing some older games (3+ years old) on low to medium settings, but even that's a stretch.

My advice is to get a new video card, maybe a Geforce 7 or even a Geforce 8 series for cheap. That will allow you to alleviate your current system bottleneck.

if your computer was built in 2005 i can safely say it isn't amazing.

a top of the line PC from 2005 will struggle to play new games today.

You might want to make sure you're not trying to put a PCIe card into a PCI slot.

QFT. Make sure what expansion card slot you have on your motherboard before you buy a new graphics card. If your computer was built in 2005 then it's most likely a PCI slot or possibly an AGP slot. If it's a PCI slot then I believe the best you can do is get a Geforce 6 series card, since it was the last series to use PCI. For AGP you can get certain Geforce 7 cards with AGP support.
