Any1 ever played it? i guess its similar gameplay to Counterstrike, except the guns and maps and theme is totally different, its a war theme. I played the original one at my cousins house and it was so much fun playing it that im thinking of getting it myself. Have any of you guys played it or do you play it? and i didnt intend to make this a begging post, but if u really dont play either one of the games, mind sending me the CD-key so that i can enjoy it?
And my question on graphics cards is this. How do i figure out what TYPE of graphics card i have, i know theres 2 types i just dont no which 1 mine is, if its any help, ive had this computer since 2004 or 2005 something around thier. And after i acquire my graphics card, is it hard to set up? The only thning i have changed in my computer is my CD Drive, and i did that perfectly with no problems. If you have intructions or a link on how to set it up please post.
(P.S.-are those shockguard things necessary when changing thngs in a computer, cuz i never heard of em till after i changed my CD-Drive)

not really, as long as you don't dance on a rug before you open your PC you should be ok.
anyway, to find out what you GFX card you have go into My Computer and right click and choose "properties". in properties select the hardware tab and then click on the "device manager" button. from there just click on display drivers and it should tell you what you have.
if you've had your PC since 04/05 it'll probably be a pci card.

It shouldn't be a problem changing your graphics card, aslong as your motherboard is compatible etc, just becareful not to break anything off the cards and make sure the card is pushed firmly into the slot. Shockguards arent really needed lol just run your hands across the outside your case beforehand to take any static etc away.
DoD source is cool, i used to play it alot and i might start again, just you need to have patience and expect to die alot, as you will be dying after taking a couple of bullets and most of the time with rifles you'll get killed in one decent shot, headshots from any gun will kill you, unless say you were far away and it was a pistol that hits your head ( helmet lul). It has a far bigger realism factor compaired to CS:S when it comes to damage weapons deal, it makes it more intense and that you can die by a machine gun shooting the fuck out of a house your hiding in, simply because the bullets go through the walls (obviously not through stupidly thick walls) Also if your pinned down you either stay there and hope you survive and can get some shots of your own off at them, or try make a run for it to safety and chance dying in a hail of gunfire. Its also cool stabbing people and hitting them with your guns. So if you enjoy realism over arcade, DoDS will be 10x better than CS:S.

Goddamit man how many threads are you going to make about your graphics card? I already answered your question in your other thread but you keep failing to read them.
Here's my post from the other thread:
Make sure what expansion card slot you have on your motherboard before you buy a new graphics card. If your computer was built in 2005 then it's most likely a PCI slot or possibly an AGP slot. If it's a PCI slot then I believe the best you can do is get a Geforce 6 series card, since it was the last series to use PCI. For AGP you can get certain Geforce 7 cards with AGP support.
Google PCI slot and AGP slot to find out which one you have. It's not that hard. Now stop making threads, get a job and buy a new fucking card :dunce: :banghead:

This kid is going to have a shitty time with this whole video card business.
He's going to need to find out a bunch of shit about his system before he even chooses one... Then for the installation, haha.

A monkey can install a videocard, all you need is a pair of hands, and the correct slot on the mobo. But ya, most likely he will probably only put it in halfway, forget to plug in the 4pin connector, and just make a clusterfuck of wrong drivers in drive D:\ or something.

Well for one thing, you need to know what kind of video card slots you have, AGP, PCI, or PCI-E and the size, 4x, 8x, or 16x. Once you have that you need to find out about your PSU and what video cards you can choose from.
I suggest Newegg, Tom's, or Fry's for buying computer shit.

you purchase the game off steam, the CD-key cannot be transfered from account to account, do your homework next time.
