Wait for it to be released on PC. That way you will be getting a more polished game and most likely get higher resolution support and more graphical options. It's rumored to be released around November 30th.

If you really wanna play it.. rent it for whatever console you own to tide you over until the pc release. I have it for 360 and i completed it ...the ending was awesome. When it comes out for pc ill buy it anyway just for modding it and i like multiplayer on a computer way more than a console just cause of the controls... mouse and keyboard seem more at home to me than a controller.

I've played San Andreas on the PC. Just not the same. Hated it. I loved the first two GTA's on PC, but now its not the same.

If you know you'll be comfortable playing it on PC then wait I suppose. It's just not the same IMO.

edit: November 30 release date? fuck that. They're going to have patches for the 360 version before that. You might as well wait for GTA 5 or get a different game. GTA isn't the end all to gaming.

Your rig is going to eat shit on the game, not own the shit out of it.
Your single core is going to die epicly. You GPU would probably handle medium with the massive cpu bottleneck.

I like it for the ps3 and 360 both. I never really liked the PC versions of GTA although they we're still good.

I like the Ps3 style more, so that is what i would go with. :D

Practically all LCD computer monitors can easily display this resolution, with many 22" screens and larger are able to even support full HD (1080p) not to mention all LCDs are progressive scan by nature.

I was going to buy a PS3 just to play this damn game. Gave it a week or two after the hype died down of it being released, and now I can honestly say I'm able to wait until the PC release.

PC beats any console. Everyone says "Ps3 has a bigger processor than any computer" etc, etc... :blahblah: but Ps3's processors are maxed when it runs a game. I can run 4 games on my lappy and have the processor only at about %50 usage.
also, I could easily get it free, probly a week after it comes out for PC. The fact that you can edit, mod, and tweak things to your fit makes it a lot better too.

excellent game over-all though.
