hey, i took a couple pics of the jetta. i never thought you could drive a diesel like i did today. lol. tgiturbos lol. also, i have been driving a 97 golf 2dr alot recently. unfortunatly, its auto. i never thought i'd be saying this, but that car is one automatic thats fun to drive, i was doing between70 and 130 through this hilly bendy stretch of road, and it picks up prety quick. and you can easily get the tranny to hold a gear as long as you want, as well as you can get it to downshift pretty easy. but manual still rules. hopefully i'll get pics soon of the golf. by the way, sick car bismark

well, its a car you use when you want to just go around town, you can only have on for specific circumstances, for instance, i have two cars, one i inhereted, i only drive it on a sunny day when its not raining or cold or very hott, the other car, the elcamino, i beat the shit out of, i drive it everywhere,

a beater is basically the car u put the most miles on, my dadd has a lexus, but he uses an old toyota 4 runner for work:D so he doesnt have to beat up the lexus in the commute everyday

naw, not enough power for that kinda stuff... although, im sure its possible in some mammoth of a car to get the wheels to pop up...its also possible in 68/9+ superbeetles. (i can get the tires to spin in 1to2 and 2to3, though)

135 HP just dont cut it...so im workin on gettin an H22 next year or so.

btw, has anyone seen the pics of that oldsmobile made back in the 70s with dual-engine all-wheel drive? i've heard it had 2 350 small blocks each mounted to either the front or rear wheels. supposedly it could smoke all four tires all the way down the track. just wondering if anyone's seen this.

It's a S-10 and we converted it over with jeep axles. We have been building these things for many years. I am now trying to talk my wife and my buddie to put the axles under my durango.

I did the swap myself, I was one of the first people to do th swap actually, I was the first to figure the wiring out the way it's done, which is generally what everyone uses when doing the swap. I"m actually selling the car, so nothing more will be done to it. As far as mods go, it has Blitz ECU, M's intake, 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust, T3 turbo, misc gauges, lots of polished stuff and thats about it.

We've done an RB20DET into a '97 240SX. Easy shtuff. The "hardest" (and I use that word lightly) thing was finding the proper axles.

Hell I guess we can also claim to be the first to put a rear-wheel drive F-series Honda motor into a front-wheel drive 5th generation Civic and make it work. :confused:

Do you mean unstable hybrids who beg to differ.....no biggie, they do it differently, I can guarentee that I was the first person to EVER wire an RB20 into a 240 the way it's commonly being done right now, unless you buy wiring service from somewhere else. My write up for it was on rbswaps.com and there were 3 other RB20 240's in the US at the time I did mine, so yes I was one of the first. And why the hell would you need to worry about axels when putting an RB20 into a 240, you don;t do anything with the rearend unless you are changing the diff, the stock driveshaft works, so you wouldn;t need to do anything with that, so that leaves me confused.

Everything we build works the way its supposed to; (<-- Says my 5-year Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree from UCSD: Top 50 in the class, I might add). And well, I guess you can't count our projects unless we talk about it on some website like you did.
Um, btw, I don't think every swap in the entire world is documented and registered for someone to count. :p I guess when the Honda CRV came out and I took its B20 motor and crossed it with a DOHC VTEC head and LSD tranny, since I didn't hear about it on any website and no one else in San Diego or California for that matter had it (I know because I drove around to every driveway, read every import magazine, went to every shop on the west coast and I checked. :rolleyes: ) I can say that I was the first person in the world (Yeah, Japan got nothing on me) to do it. YES!

Im gonna raise the bullshit flag on that. Ive seen that Z4 picture posted everywhere and i highly doubt thats yours. If it is yours, on the lower back side of the drivers seat, tell me the 4 letters. Theyre easily visible. Should be stamped in black. Prove it by telling me the numbers for the M5 and the Z4. Itll only take a second.

I admit im spoiled as hell but im not an ass about it.....

My family has a good amount of autos so the M5 and the Jeep are mine.....

You are most likely right that I would be better off with another BMW than the z4....I dont know they just drive awsome and are a great looking car......

Although the Z8 roadster caught my eye and im looking into that aswell...I do not personally know anybody that owns one at the moment so I cant get feedback from people I trust which was a big reason I thought about the z4 because as I said he has a z4 and he raves about it...and when I drove it I can back him on that.....

I have loved BMW's since I was 8 years old when my dad bought his first one(93' 740 i). When the rare ocation presented itself and I saw a M5 I knew I had found the car for me.....

Ive been waiting to get behind the wheel of one of these since I was 13......

That car calls to me, it is the best car that I have ever had and will ever have....I will for sure be a BMW customer for the rest of my life and as long as they are around will always buy the M5...


Down to the smallest detail this car screams class, luxury, refinement, power and freedom......


The roar of that V-8 accelerating is awsome and it gives me a rush!

My second car was the Grand Cherokee, I got it mainly because I have always had a thing for them too, not anywhere near the love I have for BMW but they just had an appeal to me. Mainly I wanted it because I wanted to get a trunk system and that car was perfect for it....So now I do and its fun to drive around in that car too....

Dosent have the looks of the M5 but when you stop in a lot and pop the hatch and get that thing jammin its a ladys magnet aswell, well also dudes but thats just to admire my setup lol ......
