I've been into the RPG Maker games for a while now, I used RPGXP to excess and god overly addicted, and I have to say I am NOT Impressed with VX, I downloaded it (full version for free, If anyone is interested, consult youtube) messed around for a bit, and soon found out what utter crap it was, XP was so much better, the sprites on this look like cabbage patch kids and the battle systems are all crap!, and many more things too. If they wanted to make a newer version they really should have improved from the previous one.

Making "real" games with C++ takes multiple people a couple of years to make. A tiny group of people are still working on compiling the lost/missing material from KOTOR 2, and that's been in development since the game first came out on the original Xbox.
