So I picked up this game a few days ago at a Wal Mart. Brand new, Special edition with badass case, anime dvd and bonus dvd. Started on Human mode, made it without much of a scratch. Devil hunter mode still was relatively simple. It starts to toughen you up a bit and the only part that really annoyed me was the last boss, he pissed me off as he likes to run away alot. Now I'm starting on Son of Sparda mode, currently on level 6 and all I can say is WOW. In all honesty, it's not so much that they made it much harder. I still kick mega ass, except the margin for mistakes is extremely low. The enemies now show up twice as many, super powerfull, a good bar of health, and they are very aggressive. They even started putting in enemies from way later in the game, which I didn't expect. Seeing a Blitz on the 4th level of the game was definetely not fun. Neither was the ass whooping I got when I fought it for 15 minutes. The reason I'm not playing more is because of that ridicolously stupid board game. Now not only do the red squares let you fight a plethora of fun monsters that want to murder the shit out of you, but it also transports you back to bosses you've already fought!!! FUCK THAT.

All in all, I believe Son of Sparda is completely doable, it's gonna test my skill and determination in wanting to beat it that's for sure.... I'm already afraid of Dante must Die mode. Son of Sparda is challenging as it is, DMD I think is going to be one of those ridicolously unfair modes.... Good thing you unlock infinite devil trigger dante and nero after beating SOS.

Anyone else find this game awesome? I always liked DMC1, 2 sucked ass, 3 was so fucking hard I didn't even bother. This one I'm up for the challenge.

Yes DMC4 was pretty badass, the bosses were awesome and it has a good storyline.

Uhm... you don't unlock Super Nero or Super Dante after beating Son of Sparda... it's only after you beat DMD. Sorry to burst your bubble. If you're also having major trouble with SOS, you will crash and burn in DMD. If you want to beat the board games easier, there is a way to predict the number that will come up... I don't remember how, but look it up. Also, that second last level is my favourite since you basically get to play the game's greatest parts (the bosses) all in a row. My advice is to stop trying to go for super stylish (aka super varied) gameplay, and just whore whatever moves work for you. What I remember doing (with Nero) was streak, launch them into the air, do two air combos, buster them, then do that dive bomb thingy. That should take a substantial amount of health from the scarecrows at least. On the "knights" (dont remember what they're called) either get behind them and buster them, or get behind them, launch them into air, dive bomb down, launch into air.... etc.

I decided to whore the automatic mode and realized this made the game like 10x easier. I didn't use it in human or devil hunter mode but it sure did make missions 6 through 11 ALOT easier. Almost too easy, lol. I'm at the boss on stage 11, he's the only one to have pissed me off. I'm buying some damn holy waters or something, once,he starts using the statue it's almost impossible to get him on the ground when his shield is down. It's ridicolous.
