Forgotten game name :)

The game involved building an army and murdering other armies. You could equip your "hero" with different weapons and buy troops from conquered towns.

It was called something like dynasty or empires. Just can't find it on ebaums which is where I thought it was. Probably ought to work more anyway :D

Hmmm, you didn't read the part about a "hero" type person did you?

Still looking for the game name or link, it involved a feudal Japanese element, some woods people (?), and medieval knights.
