360 Freezing

So ever since I got Halo 3, it's been freezing. But only in the custom games lobby for some reason. When it freezes, I can still talk to whoever I'm talking in private chat. :confuzed: None of my other games freeze besides the original Xbox games such as Halo 1 or 2.

Would an air cooler help stop the freezing? :idea:

...and two days later I got the red rings of death.


Call 1-888-4MY-XBOX and tell them about the problem. If it's not the disks problem, it's the consoles and it will only get worse.

I forgot to mention that I told my friend to bring his copy of Halo 3 over and it also freezes on the custom games lobby. So it's not my disk.

And it's vertical.

And...you can have your 360 vertical. I have mine vertical because I don't have enough room to put it horizontal next to my playstation.

keep it in an open area without carpet... i have mine perpendicular on a dictionary laying horizontal... ghetto i know.

It's in an open space and everything. Just tell me if an air cooler would work or how to get my 360 to RROD on me so I can ship it in.

Oh, my bad. I meant horizontal.
You should put it vertical. Fell the bottom of your 360 and the surface it is laying on. It you can feel heat, best to put it vertical

Everytime I put mine verticle, the CD would always start to fumble around

Did you put it horizontal, then after a couple of minutes of play, vertical?

Because you shouldn't doo that. When it is turned on it should be vertical until it closes

If you do that, the cd always falls out when you put it in.

There are 2 clamps at the bottom of the tray. Are you putting the hard drive side down?

The custom games lobby is the most fun part of Halo 3. And I keep on fucking freezing. Oh, and I tried going vertical and it didn't work.

My Halo 3 game does the exact same thing... it freezes up in the custom games lobby. It never freezes during a game, or in the matchmaking lobby, theater, etc. This has happened since the first day I played Halo 3 on my 360. I have tried four different Halo 3 discs, and they all do the same thing. None of the discs appear to be scratched. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US FIX THIS PROBLEM SO WE CAN PLAY CUSTOM GAMES! All I want to do is enjoy some Halo 3.
