Here's a thread for all of us to share some of our favorite bootlegs. :) Post the links since bootlegs are legal tender.

BBC Breezeblock Sessions - Animal Collective

It's a short bootleg, but it's outstanding quality. It's a nice acoustic sound. I didn't sample mine since it's only four songs.

I share you share

Recommended sample of the piece is welcome.

Well bootlegs is not a good term, they are the product sold by bootleggers, "product" meaning music which is widely available for free in trading circles (live shows, unofficial studio material). So let's just call them recordings.

Otherwise great idea for a thread, my only suggestion would be telling everyone to include a sample.

I thought that if the band okays bootlegging it's complete legal. Like the archive live music section.

Touche on the sampling. I shall include it in the post.

yeah but it's not referred to as bootlegging, that term is reserved for the scumbags who sell free music.

Anyway - Fans of Blue Cheer will appreciate this,

"Kak's album was barely promoted and sold little. It didn't help that the band played less than a dozen shows before breaking up in early 1969, Damrell having already quit prior to the split. Yoder did a single for Epic and and then joined Blue Cheer. The Kak album eventually became a pricey collector item, and was reissued on CD by Big Beat (with the new title Kak-ola) in 1999 with plenty of bonus cuts, including previously unreleased acoustic demos and Yoder solo tracks from the late sixties. - Richie Unterberger"

Perhaps so, but the slang lingo these days call this stuff blootlegs if you want to be hip.
