Regarding Mr. Obama:

Public Law 110-181 was the 2008 defense authorization bill. It passed the Senate by 91 to 3 in January, with six Senators not voting. Among those six absentees was Barack Obama. So he cites a bill he didn’t even vote for. Did he contribute to it in some way that might be reasonably referred to as extending healthcare for wounded troops who’d been neglected? It certainly doesn’t seem that way, as even Obama supporters at the Daily Kos discovered when they tried to answer some of the bloggers who pointed to Obama’s citation of the bill. They found that Obama had tried to insert an amendment that had to do with screenings for service members returning from deployments, and one that would ease the discharge of service members found to have personality disorders, but neither amendment passed. Another part of the bill, calling for inspector general reports about hospital facilities, had come from a different bill Obama had sponsored.

Here's the rest of the story (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=Y2YxNTk0NzBiNjgzZmY0MjEwYzg5ODViMjMxN2JlY2Y) complete with other links.

Regarding Mr. McCain:

This is what McCain's advisor Charlie Black said:

The assassination of Benazir Bhutto in December was an 'unfortunate event,' says Black. 'But his knowledge and ability to talk about it reemphasized that this is the guy who's ready to be Commander-in-Chief. And it helped us.' As would, Black concedes with startling candor after we raise the issue, another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. 'Certainly it would be a big advantage to him,' says Black.

Idiot (http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/06/mccain-adviser.html).

Discuss.

So we have Obama incorrectly padding his resume himself, and a campaign worker for McCain expressing his personal opinion....

Yep, these are two equal gaffes alright [sarc].

On the Obama front, apparently he tried to include a number of provisions (some of which were actually included in the bill) that helped benefit soldier's health care. He didn't show up because it was the bill was 100% guaranteed to pass. Source. (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/21/11914/2500/451/539570)

On the McCain front, not only was that not McCain speaking (so he can hardly be held responsible) but the adviser was right. Another terrorist attack would benefit McCain, who people think is stronger on terror. Maybe not tactful, but it wasn't McCain speaking, it was one of his advisers.

Neither is really noteworthy.

Here's a great one!

Regarding my comment on Mojoe's Bullshit sig

Considering a good amount of black people and women are liberals, and liberals control the media and what history you learn in schools, then yes, there are a lot of people lying/exagerrated.

There you have it. The liberal blacks and women control history books and are therefore propaganda.

And before you send me another PM, don't worry about it. If a fucking history book isn't a good source for a debate then you don't deserve one.

No offense but reading that quote, it says "and liberals control the media and what history you learn in schools" with no definition of liberals in that part of the sentence, it looks like his conclusion about liberals encorporates them all.

Turns out that Hussein Obama is just another politician..and a light weight one at that. He doesn't want those "typical white people" to think that he is actually a socialist towelhead in disguise

I have him 'pinned down' as a closet Muslim commie

His definition is Liberal Democrats, opposite to his conservative thoughts.

Right. My only point was I don't think he was limiting it to black and women liberals.

Oh I know that. This is what I'm saying:

Mojoe's sig says

"Larry Schweikart on being asked why he wrote a book defending America's past... "... We say that if you just tell the story of America's past honestly, you can't help but be proud of this country. But over the last 40 years, people have told the story of this country's past dishonestly. They have over-exagerrated racism and sexism. They have lied." - A Patriot's History of the United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen. "

I replied to him that there must be a hell of a lot of blacks and women who are lying about the past. His response being that that as liberals they control the mainstream media and what history is taught it is a lie.

Basically Liberal controls history book, therefore history book is a lie.

You know, they call it a "private message" because it's private. You want to play that game? So be it. What do you want to talk about?

Oxymoron of the day. Either he's a Taliplant or he's a socialist: pick one and stick with it.

I went through the exact same thing with him. Don't bother with the troll, it's going to be "What this one book says is right, everything else is a lie, and any evidence to support history is a liberal setup."

Don't even get me started on the Jews.

Obama has the skills man. He is able to be a socialist, muslim, black power christian, AND hollywood liberal elitist all at the same time. He's like if Jesus and Superman had a baby!

I find it funny that you say this - the argument you used is often used by liberal historians. I already explained to you that liberals dominate the MSM and what you learn in school. Anyway, the book addresses that argument. Don't you remember? I sure do! Especially that fantastic rebuttal you had!

You don't REALLY believe that, do you?

He is out in the open espousing his hatred of everything I stand for..freedom and free markets for example. All you have to do is listen to him and you will see the agenda

He calls it "for the common good" and deny it is socialism (as my girl Hillary Clinton) did when she was accused of being a socialist..but it is still socialism nevertheless.

If the majority of Americans want the wood "up their asses" with Hussein Obama...so be it.

Let it be
