Guitar Hero for DS. Should I or shouldn't I? It's $50, so I'm paying $15 for the hand strap, alone, and there's only a 26 song track list, but it is the DS we're talking about. 20 exclusive songs and 6 from GH3. I almost just want it for "We're Not Gonna Take It", but I'm sure Activision has done another good job on a GH game. I think I might mosey on over to Best Buy today and pick it up, but I'm not sure. Has anyone played it or do you own it? Feedback?

Looks like the type of game that'll seriously scratch up your touchscreen.

I got it yesterday. Expert is sorta like hard mode from GH3, just a bit tougher here and there. If you like Guitar Hero, sure, why not. I'm having a blast so far.

How do the songs sound quality wise?

Yeah, I just got it. It's kind of awkward to play, because when I put the strap on my hand the buttons are under my first knuckle, so I have to bend my fingers so I can play with my fingertips. I just play it laying or sitting down and I have to rest the DS on my stomach. I give mad props to Activision and Nintendo for developing the hardware, though.

The setlist, while small and unable to grow, is pretty good I think. Steve Miller, the Doobie Brothers, No Doubt, and my favorites from GH3. I'd like to see some of these songs in GH4.

Oh, and sound quality isn't really an issue. the DS speakers really aren't all that bad, the songs sound pretty good.

Yeah i figured because it kinda confused me on the DS audio compression could not be that good to hold actual songs in the DS catridge, but i guess i was wrong judging by there youtube videos.

I find that if you set the strap so that it loops around your thumb, the grip's a lot more comfortable.

I just tried that and liked it a lot. How does everyone strum? I usually strike the pick against the screen for each note, but sometimes it seems like it thinks I struck it an extra time or something, because it breaks my streak. Or maybe it's just me with bad timing or something. For faster parts I just wiggle the stylus on the screen.

Sucks that there isn't any metallica or slayer.

I find the four buttons the killer, and the reason I refuse to get it. The main difference between medium and hard is the huge step to orange, which for me (Small hands) I had to learn to move my entire hand down a button to reach. With four buttons, it would be like....easy mode.

For those who don't think four buttons can be a challenge. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=fwzW410chgk)

Guitar Hero: World at War would be nice.
