Extreme Global warming? Passing of another 'lost' planet in our solar system? Pole shift? Alien invasion? End of the world [Mayans], Solar Storm? [100% going to happen, NASA stated], entering the Age of Aquarius [4th dimension].
I, personally, am worried about the future of our race and 2012 will be the make or break of our existence...
Believe you me.
Thought? Feedback?
Thank you.
We're all gonna die in 2012, just get over it.

No, no, no, no. There is nothing special about 2012 and anyone who says that the solar system will be in the centre of the galaxy or the planets will line up in some special way or anything like that has no idea what they're talking about. People get boners over these end of the world dates all the time. It happened in 1000 AD, it happened in 1999, 2000, and probably hundreds more. Anytime anyone mentions 2012 as an end-times date and actually believes it, I automatically assume reason that they have a mental handicap.

Since I was a kid, there have been several end of the world prophecies, and they can all eat shit along with the nutjob attention whoring fear mongers who fabricated them.
A. The age of Aquarius occures around 2150 as we leave the pagen age of Pisces (represented by the 2 fish, Jesus, Etc) and has nothing to do with the 4th dimension.
It mearly measures a 1/12th increment of the of "great year" (aprox 26,400 years.) which goes back to at least 3000BC ancient Egypt. THerefore a Non issue regarding 2012.
B. The 10th planet (now the 9th) has been discussed and even carved into ancient hyroglyphs. If its true (long shot), I seriously doubt it'll pass by 3 years from now. We would have tracked it a long time ago if it was this close.
Not a god damn thing is going to happen in 2012 unless our elitist cunts deliberately make something happen by means of war etc. I will however note the circumstances from 2012 (and the numerous references by different civlizations over time) make it quite interesting.
That said, If I bite the bullet in 2012, I'll kick it knowing I gave it 100%, no regrets. I personally think the entire thing is a crock of shit.

It's not end of the world scenario, but it's a major issue.

So the sunspot cycle will be at a maximum of an 11 year cycle in 2012. Woopdeedoo, it happens every 11 years and I don't think it's ever grounded a single air plane. Yeah we need to watch the sun and shield satellites for these things but if you honestly believe that this at all gives ANY credence to a 2012 end-times prediction....then that's just sad.

What the hell is a Large Harron Collider?
Its a massive super collider on the Swiss/French border that some scientists believe will give us the ability to observe everything about atoms that we dont know right now. Some theorize that it may create a miniature black hole under controlled conditions. Others theorize that it is possible that a controlled black hole could go wild and swallow the entire earth. It was supposed to go online in May, but then it was pushed back to June, and I haven't really heard much about it lately, so I don't know whats up. Basically, it will either tell scientists the answers to everything they have speculated about in theoretical physics for the past century, or there is a 1 in a billion chance it could destroy the planet.

Jehovah's Witnesses have been pulling dates that the world will end out of their asses for a century. Christians do it often, numerous religious cults do it basically every single day.
And then when it doesn't end on that day, they just go quiet and make up a new date a few months later when the world has forgotten.
2012 will come and go, the world will not stop, nothing bad will happen, god won't return, no rapture, no catastrophic consequences of shift in north and south poles, except compasses will need to be remade, no solar lightning going to strike earth in half...
I'm going to say in 2012, based on my own studies, a giant cosmic turd is going to crash into earth like a meteor. I can't prove it but you can't disprove it. Everybody knows that Rush has predicted our doom comes in the year 2112.
In the year 2062, a galaxy-wide war results in the union of all planets under the rule of the Red Star of the Solar Federation. The world is controlled by the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx, who determine the content of all reading matter, songs, pictures - every facet of life during the year 2112 ("The Temples of Syrinx").
A man discovers a guitar (ancient miracle) and learns to play new, different music from what he has ever heard. When he goes to present this to the priests of the Temples, they destroy the guitar. He goes into hiding and dreams of music; upon awakening he becomes severely depressed and commits suicide after a few more days in hiding. As he dies, another planetary battle begins ("Grand Finale") resulting in the (perhaps deliberately) ambiguous ending "Attention all planets of the Solar Federation: We have assumed control."

The Galactic Alignment of December 21, 2012
The Perfect Storm
Our solar system is part of a huge disc shaped collection of stars and planets called the Milky Way. We're located somewhere on the edge of the disc, slightly on top of the narrow disc. But very soon we'll be moving to the bottom of the disc. This change, from top to bottom, begins on December 21, 2012.
Yes, that's right. On the same day when our Sun is at it's solar maximum, something will happen that's never happened before -- the ecliptic of our solar system will intersect with the Galactic plane, called the "Galactic Equator" of the Milky Way! [see star chart].
If you imagine our solar system as a bunch of peas on a plate, with a huge meatball in the center, imagine the Milky Way as a city-size pizza with the "Guiness World Book Record Meatball" in its center!
Prior to December 2012 we have been drifting on the top of the pizza, never really able to see the bottom. The plate and pizza are not parallel. They are moving at different angles. We've been drifting down, down, down... and on December 21st, 2012, we will be exactly level with the crust -- forming an "x" at the Galactic Equator where galactic gravity is the strongest. After 2012, if we are still here, we will be passing through the bottom zone, viewing the Milky Way pizza from the South.
Yes, there's even more!
By some amazing coincidence, not only will we be intersecting with the Galactic Equator, but we will be doing this precisely aligned with the center of the Galaxy where there is maximum mass! More mass means more gravity. More gravity means more influence from those barycenters in our Sun. That means exponential increases in solar disruptions -- all coinciding on the same day! Whew!
I dunno guys. It just doesn't seem like a day at the park.
I dunno guys. It just doesn't seem like a day at the park.
Like I said, anyone who believes in that is a retard. Here's why: Our galaxy is roughly 70,000 light years across and about 10-20,000 light years wide. We don't know the size of our galaxy let alone the orbital velocity of our solar system around the galactic core to even BEGIN to determine exactly where the position of our solar system is with respect to the 'galactic equator' with any sort of amazing precision, let alone the precision required to state where our solar system is on a particular DAY. Hell, I'd be surprised if astronomers could figure it out to within a 1 million year time.
Stop reading conspiracy sites BlueQuarter. People who write for them are idiots.

Physics makes you phail. Alright...lets say that there is a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy (which there probably is). How would the angle between your "huge meatball" of a black hole and Earth effect gravity on earth? The strength of gravitational force had nothing to to with anything except for distance...If you had a perfectly round sphere with the center of gravity at the exact center, gravity would have the exact same force no mater where you are on the sphere.
Planet alighment will happen though.
The planets have aligned countless time since the formation of the solar system and Earth is still here.
And why would we trust the Myans anyways? Weren't they the ones who thought it was a good idea to offer human sacrificess to please the gods?

There is evidence that poles are shifting on other bodies within our solar system which may indicate that pole shifts are a concerted event. No one knows for sure, but it may even be a galaxy wide event caused by a change at the core of our galaxy. Our suns poles reverse every solar cycle, the next is due, coincidentally in 2012.

08-27-2008, 01:20 PM
I dunno...
I'm somewhat worried.
During early 2001, the Sun's solar cycle was completed and the Sun switched magnetic poles, so the Sun is due for another cycle in the year 2012.
Well, who cares if the Sun flips again? it flips every 11 years so why should should the next flip be any different?
The solar cycle of 2012 is more significant than any other for several reasons:
1. During this time the two biggest planets in our solar system, Saturn and Jupiter, will be in line with each other. The gravitational effects of the two planets on the Sun will cause it to wobble during it's pole shift. This can have huge effects on the magnitude of the CME's the Sun will be tossing into space. The Earth regularly gets hit with small CME's and research says that the increased magnitude of these CME's are one of the major causes of global warming, and changes in the ecosystem.
2. Right now the Sun's south magnetic pole is in line with the Earth's north magnetic pole. Since opposites attract, the Sun, along with it's gravitational influence from Saturn and Jupiter, may cause the Earth to switch magnetic poles too! With the magnetic field of the Earth switching in a matter of minutes, there can be huge disruptions in the Earth's geological and ecological system. It can cause mass earthquakes and volcano eruptions all over the world. After it's all done, compasses will point South, the Sun will rise in the West and set in the East. But remember, this is a magnetic switch only.
3. The most far fetched possibility and probably the most catastrophic is the phenomenon called "polar wander". Polar wander is a result of the Earth's outer crust shifting at a rapid rate. The magnetic poles stay put but Antarctica becomes the equator and the tropics become the North Pole. I really don't have to stress why a polar wander could be catastrophic because if you picture a phenomenon like this happening in a matter of minutes, you can understand why. There is evidence of a polar wander occurring before in the distant past due to the fossils of Coral in Greenland and Woolly Mammoth bones found in Central America. Of course, in order for a polar wander to occur, it would take a huge amount of imbalance, like an asteroid collision, in the Earth to trigger it.
4. The final event that will occur on December 21, 2012 will be at 11:12 GMT. It's a phenomenon that the Mayans referred to as the "Sacred Tree" and it happens every 25,800 years. At that time our Sun will line up directly with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. For thousands of years, our solar system has been hovering around the top of the galactic plane and this galactic alignment could have huge effects on our solar system.
"The ecliptic cross over the Milky Way at a 60 degree angle near the constellation Sagittarius. As such, it forms a cross with the Milky Way, and this cosmic cross was called the Sacred Tree by the ancient Maya. (The cross form was also known as the "crossroads." Amazingly, the center of this cosmic cross, that is right where the ecliptic crosses over the Milky Way is exactly where the December solstice sun will be in A.D. 2012. This alignment occurs only once every 25,800 years."
There is supposedly a black hole in the middle of the Milky Way holding everything together. Our solar system is around the outer edge of the disc. When our solar system lines up with center of the galaxy, we will be at the strongest part of the galaxy's magnetic field where there is maximum gravitation. So, with the Sun's solar cycle being at it's maximum, the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter, and the alignment of the sun with the equator of the Milky Way, this will REALLY cause an increase in the magnitude of the Sun's solar flares. Of course the gravitational complexities will also have an influence on whether or not the Earth will undergo a magnetic pole shift. There is also speculation that the Earth may reverse its rotation since we'll be in the opposite hemisphere of the galaxy!
"According to the Mayas, the center of the Galaxy is the cosmic womb; The place of dead, transformation, regeneration and rebirth. This moment shows the end of their calendar."
There are a lot of questions that will be answered in the year 2012. Although the Mayan calender has a mystery on a specific date, some of the scientific complexities will gradually become observable. Depletion of the ozone, increase in volcanic activity, and changes in weather patterns are all natural results of some of the events explained. However, whether or not the Mayans had some sort of insight into the future will remain a mystery.

This is simply untrue. Sure, Jupiter and Saturn are the largest planets in our solar system, but they are so far away from the Sun that even if they do "line up" (what does that even mean?) even their combined gravity would have absolutely NO EFFECT on the Sun, much less make it "wobble". The Earth is much smaller than the Sun and closer to Jupiter, so why doesn't the Earth constantly "wobble" due to Jupiter's gravity? I'll tell you why, Jupiter is so far away, its effects are negligible. In fact, the gravitational force that Jupiter exerts on the Earth is LESS THAN 1% of the gravitational force that the MOON exerts on Earth. Look it up.
After it's all done, compasses will point South, This is so incredibly far fetched, I don't even know what to make of it. The earth DOES switch magnetic poles periodically as evidenced by ocean floor rock formations, but I have never heard anything about the Sun influencing such a switch. That just makes no sense. Compasses point south anyways:rolleyes:
the Sun will rise in the West and set in the East. But remember, this is a magnetic switch only. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
Where the Sun rises has NOTHING to do with the Earth's magnetic field. For the Sun to rise in the west and set in the east, it would have to reverse its rotation. That is probably the stupidest thing I have even heard.
3. The most far fetched possibility and probably the most catastrophic is the phenomenon called "polar wander". Polar wander is a result of the Earth's outer crust shifting at a rapid rate. The magnetic poles stay put but Antarctica becomes the equator and the tropics become the North Pole.
However, whether or not the Mayans had some sort of insight into the future will remain a mystery.So...now we are trusting the Maya, people who thought it was a good idea to cut out the hearts of live people and offer them to the Gods, over our own modern scientific community? And why didn't Earth come to an end 28,000 years ago when this last happened?

I think it's funny that people believe in the fairytales of a long-lost civilization, what other great things have they predicted, pray tell?
Fairytales? The Mayans are a very real civilization and were ahead of their time in many aspects. They are not a "long-lost civilization" so I would think about it before you say things like that.

I hope you are right. Honestly.
Can you debunk all of this though?

Now answer me this....
What time zone will it occur in?

The mayans made a good calender system, but at the same sime they believed in ritual human sacrifice. I dont think anything major will happen in 2012, but I am inclined to be skeptical because of all the previous predictions of end days that havent come true.
One reason this is looked at so much, is because it is happening within our life time, and it is one of last from the ancient civilizations...

i think something could happen in 2012. I mean apparently its in a couple of religions and stuff. So who knows. I predict in the next 4 years an increase in natural disasters, disease, famine, and war.

London will host the 2012 Olympics.
When you search 2012 in google... The whole, "end of the world" shite comes up before that.

Debunk what? What does that say? You never offer proof of anything. So far in this thread, you have done the followingL
I don't know, something could happen.
It just doesn't seem like a nice day at the park.
I dunno, but I'm worried.
We all know YOU are worried. You worry about shit that isn't there at all. So far you've been worried about false flag attacks this summer. And last I checked, you were one of those chemtrail believers.

This thread has proof that the education system is failing.
