Zelda nerds.

So lately I've fallen back into my old obsession with the Zelda games. Mostly the N64 releases Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask as of late. As I started a new game recently on both, I wonder how the fuck I was so strategic when I was 10 years old to beat these games.

I do love Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass but I never got the chance to grab Wind Waker.

And! Because when I bought Majora's Mask, which was in 2000 - I bought a third party expansion pack that freezes and I never get to beat the goddamn game! And I just wish it would come out on Virtual Console now. Along with, another favorite of mine off the SNES - Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

What is/was your favorite?
I know most people who played MM did not like it and said it was too hard.

The original Legend of Zelda for the NES. The only other game that was remotely close in terms of epicness was Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time was the shit. I watched my friend beat that game twice before I finally borrowed his N64 and beat it myself.

Then Twilight Princess came along and felt like 'Ocarina of Time 2.0' aside from the graphics and gameplay improvements. And, just like all the Zelda games' stories, it falls short and doesn't explain anything. Seriously, how many Links and Zeldas can there be? Ocarina of Time was as original as they got when it came to story.

Ironically the first time I got into Zelda wasn't from a video game (first game I played was A Link To The Past), but from the old cartoon they had back in the late 80s/early 90s. Link was so horny for Zelda. :raiseeyeb

Wind Waker is amazing, obviously not the best Zelda game and I'm sure everbody else on this forum will tell it sucks, but it has a good story and a large immersive world.


The story is also a lot more practical compared to the others cause the Link in this one is a descendant not a clone :).

haha Wind Waker is the best zelda game, largest, most intense action yet. once people just drop there balls and try something pre-judgement, they will like it so much better. "omg cartoony, gross yuck im gay", which..to me, thats the only way they should be shot if they did it the way of twilight princess, because that had so much shit taken out.. no way an epic game like wind waker could be pulled off like that in early 2000's.

I need to go back and beat MM because I never got a chance to beat that one or Wind Waker, damn game broke when I was on the last temple. And I read some huge ass explanation of MM and about the backstory and characters and all that shit. And made me want to beat it again and understand wtf was going on.

Ocarina of Time is not only the best Zelda game, it is, IMO, the best game of all time. I remember I was 13 years old when that game came out and just the sheer amazingness of playing it for the first time is something I'll never forget.
