That's what happened mine. I brought it back to Gamestop and got another though. Sony will fix it for free if you do have to send it in.

Installing games isn't bad, the only thing I hate about it is that it's mandatory. PS3 installs should be optional, if they don't choose to install the game then it will run like the 360. Installing games will make load times faster and lengthen the life of the drive (reading off the hard drive instead of constantly reading off the disc). PS, I own a 360, not a PStriple.

Messiah, IMO, the game is ok, but there are things to really improve on. First thing is that you have to go around looking for a fight, the maps are way too big for just 24 players. In COD4, GTA4, etc, the game spawns you close to your team, which is always close to the enemy. In BF:BC, you can choose to spawn either at a base or your squad leader. When you spawn at a base, you hop into a tank or jeep and go around looking for someone to kill. When you spawn near your squad leader, you're about to be hit by an artillery strike, you spawn right in the middle of a fight or you're no where near the enemy. Another thing is the destruction. It gets old real fast because it doesn't take into consideration the angle, the impact, the force, etc. Once it gets damaged enough, it'll just blow up. Another thing about the destruction is that if you ever come across something that is indestructible, you'll be like "what the fuck?" The game is laggy like shit too. Oh yeah, weapons unlocks aren't fair.

I've heard of this game being glitchy and causing problems, but so far its been running fine on my system. It's good to fill the cod4 void if your bored with that. There's some things missing from cod4, the weapons don't feel as realistic and are not that different from each other, but I do enjoy the large maps and vehicles.

Since I didn't like COD4 this game hits the spot perfectly. Still need to improve some, but just the sound quality is worth the money I think. The multiplayer is fun if you squad up and work together. Running around rambo style will usually just get you owned. And its just great owning campers with a mortar or artillery strike that blows up the house they are hiding inside of.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, a PS3 that can't play its own games isn't worth all that much, especially considering you can get about 8 PS2's for the price of a PS3. I've yet to encounter a 360 that plays PS2 games, so you don't have a point there . . .
