Well Varg Vikernes stabbed Euronymous to death, but I've never heard about him kidnapping a journalist.

Well, as seen in the video, Gaahl was imprisoned for tying people up and beating them, and collecting their blood in cups, allegedly threatening to make them drink it/drink it himself. I love how he said it was to keep his carpet clean.

I always thought the whole thing about Jon Nodtveidt from Dissection killing a gay guy in the forest was the craziest in the black metal scene. After being in prison for 7 years for MURDER, he came to writing music again but Dissection wasn't the same anyway...

Probably why he killed himself...

Absurd's probably the nuttiest. The three members at the time, Henrik Mobus, Sebastian Schauseil and Andreas Kirchner, strangled a classmate to death and used a picture of his tombstone as the cover to an album (http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/5344/78533iq0.jpg) which mockingly opens up with a news report about their deed.

Brilliant fuckin' tunes, though, at least at one point..
