For people who were unsure of why Dark Angel seem to just dissipate shortly after saying there would be a new album, well, Ron had some serious neck/spine/back issues, and he was told by his doctor that if he wanted to walk for the remaining years of his life, it's a good idea to give up singing.

After this, Dark Angel essentially faded away. The recruited bassist, Danyael, was great about keeping the fans in the loop of what was going on with the band through the Dark Angel MySpace Group page. (He sent me some stickers, which I fucking lost.)

He was kind enough to share this unreleased loop with us of what they did in the studio. It's about a minute of a couple of intro riffs and such. Jim Durkin on guitars, Gene Hoglan on drums and Danyael on bass. This is instrumental, therefore no vocals.

I really hope you guys enjoy this. It's simply, but it honestly sounds like it could've been on Time Does Not Heal. It sounds completely old school, and I'm so saddened and almost destroyed that Ron can't sing, and everybody else has kind of moved on.

BTW, the above link isn't spam or any shit. I just uploaded it from my iTunes folder a few minutes ago so it's clean.

A nice taste of what could've been.

EDIT:
Derp, 2004 not 2007

Sounds a lot like TDNH. Cool stuff, shame nothing will ever come of it..
