I didn't think it looked like shit, but the game engine was dated for sure. The game was pretty massive though, so usally the graphics suffer a bit if there is alot of content.

It had a weird feel you don't get with most games, but the lighting was amazing and the graphics never let it down.

They could do some work on the character models when suited up, always thought they looked stupid.

I hope that they put more effort into the character designs... I mean, on SOC the characters never had facial expressions, and they never blinked. I know that these are petty things, but it's nice to have those graphic capabilities... =)

Firstly I think you will find that GSC Game World has been give certification to create games for the X-Box 360. STALKER Is going to be created for the X-Box, according to the programmers...

Secondly, Granted, The Top Spec PC's are and always will be better than the consoles, but for those of us who arent as Rich and Stuck-up as you, we will have to get by on those less than brilliant PC's. I did not say all PC's now did I? Besides, I gave 3 years as an estimation, I was originally talking about the PC's with say 1GB Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce Card...

Thirdly, I agree, that comment was wrong and I apologize...

Finally, You say that about the PS3, but take the PS2 for example, the graphics for the first games were, poor, however the last few games designed for the PS2 were only slightly better. My point, in my last comment, was that You can upgrade a computer regularly without having to purchase a new core (Bearing in mind that the motherboard can take it), you cannot buy a new Graphics Card or Purchase more RAM for a PS3 or 360
