Basically I have been playing xbox 360 for months on one of my old sony tube TV's. I got a new 26inch HDTV link (http://www.envisiondisplay.com/products.asp?EPage=products&SMenu=l26w761) and when playing cod4 and halo3 theres a lag between the controller and the tv. Also a little blur follows, is there anything i could do for this? I thought 8ms was a fairly good response time. Is there some way to change the resolution or something?

Try playing around with the menu, or looking through the manual for help. Otherwise return it for a more reputable brand, cause my 26" LG HDTV works fine.

My Sony TV has a 'game mode', which turns off all the video and sound processing in order to eliminate any lag that may occur. Check if your tv has something similar.

I haven't heard of this make but most decent LCDs have a "Game mode" which has already been mention by appleb.
Search your make & model of tv here for settings.

Even though the standard setting on tvs are fairly good you still have to tweak them to get the optimum picture.

Most TVs have a sport, standard, movie, and game mode. Just try playing around with the TV settings.

Are you running your 360 trough a receiver then then to the TV? Or are you hooked up directly to the TV?

^^^ I have it connected directly.
After playing with the remote and reading the manual, no game mode to be found, just different aspect ratio's (normal/zoom/wide/cinema). I don't know i might just use this tv as a computer monitor and get a new one for gaming.

Invest in a decent make & model. Don't go for a cheap ass make as you'll notice it.
You can get decent Samsungs for only £500.

It's because the pixels are getting too tired. Give the entire screen a good rub down and the picture quality should improve.

The fuck kind of brand is that? Unfortunately for you, when it comes down to LCD tv's, you really do get what you pay for. My LG is probably the best thing I own, and purely because it's LG. You'll be much better off getting rid of that and investing in a respectable brand.

Envision used to make wonderful CRT screens, I haven't seen any of their LCD's in person though.
