RuneScape Graphics Update

RuneScape got a facelift today and its looking fucking great! Pic from the actual game found here (http://i30.tinypic.com/2khhzp.jpg).

Yeah, its no WoW or Diablo or GTA4 but (and imo its a fucking big butt. We're talking J-lo levels of butt) its all done on Java with no downloads.

I think thats a major improvement from the other version but I only played it like twice when I was 13/14 so my opinion doesn't count really.

I've been playing the thing off and on for about 4 years. I started off as I had an old-ass PC that couldn't run WOW, Everquest and the like.

To be fair to the game, its a lot more fun than people dare give it credit for. Seriously, admitting you play it is akin to coming out of the fucking closet! :lol: edit: exhibit above.

I work long hours and its an extremely cheap (£3.20 pm) game that I can enjoy on my time off and personally, I think they've done a hell of a job with the graphic update considering the format.

Now if only they could revamp the community and remove all the pre-pubescent dickholes the game is filled with. :raiseeyeb

It was the only online game I could play, and it wasn't really all that bad.

Obviously there are better alternatives though.

Not if you love questing. My computer can handle way better games, but this game is actually quite fun for me and very affordable at 5 bucks a month. I get more game out of it than 15 bucks for WoW. WoW is a fucking grindfest to which there is no end... I saved myself and sold my account and never EVER will play that game again. RS has always been a game I can just stumble back into after I get bored with another game, it just has the fun things that other game developers fail to realize that some players like. I find myself encountering happy players who play for enjoyment and sometimes need a little help. They don't bitch and moan because they can't do something like in WoW or GW, they just ask for a bit of assistance and get on their way. Having a younger playerbase may cause some kids to show hatred to those that differ from them or show jealousy, but they are much more calm and forgiving when it comes to things that affect them..... except of course some fag who killed himself from losing a party hat or something... lawl.

Don't hate the game because it has worse graphics, hate it because you've played it thoroughly and proven that it has nothing fun in its content.

I played Runescape about 3 years ago, got to about level 76, Then quit because it was being filled with 10 year olds, and I realized, overall how shit the game was.
So what if it's a browser game, It deserves credit for that?
Maybe a downloadable version with better graphics would of been a good idea, then there would be less faggot 10 year olds playing on their dad's old Win 95 systems with 32mb built in graphics in their rooms.
Runescape needs alot more than a graphic update.

I can remember fishing for lobsters in the game and whilst cooking them there were always a couple of burnt ones. So I thought of a scam, I just yelled selling rare black lobster and 1 out of 10 would actually buy it for a nice price. Im glad I stopped playing that crap though.
