This, and also remember act 1 in D2? It was all bright just like this, it's going to progress from a "good" looking zone to horrible hell like places, like in diablo 2 you started out in a camp helping kill carvers and saving old men then you eventually progressed to killing Diablo himself, sheesh you people who complain about this shit are ignorant.

Don't forget that this is BETA, they are sure to make some changes with the models/textures. I currently like the graphics the way they are. Also remember, these screenshots are from the first Act, it will probably become more dark once you get deeper into the game.

I agree, there are way too many bright colours. Red, brown, grey, yellow, green, etc are the only colours that should ever be used in diablo. I thought the same thing as soon as I saw the new barbarian. I have faith that it will good though. This is only a early preview after all. I don't mind seeing bright... happy looking areas as long as the majority of the game is dark, grim, bloody... etc.

I want the game to be creepy. Not scary like doom III where random zombies pop up and lights fall out, but just a creepy atmosphere. Creepy music, dark rooms, occasional distant screaming, and some mysterious stuff.

It really did look like WoW with the bright colors (the weapon glows, the summoning glows, the terrain), the witch doctor (which just looked like a troll shaman to me), the huge shoulderpads, the walking trees, some other stuff.
Also, he sunny/green/teletubbies area was called "the leoric highlands". It should have no living plants imo, especially seeing as it's named after a fucking skeleton.

I hope they make it darker, I really liked those screenshots from the petition.

I have WoW, and im not crying about Diablo 3.. I can't wait for it to come out. and the graphics are enhanced they can make gear look cool.. I honestly dont know why people are complaining. i dont want to see every sorc in d3 running around with brown condoms on their head (shako).

Act1, 2 4 and 5 are all full of colors in d2- If you take random screenshots where there's rainbows ( which rules because there's sun and it's raining = rainbows ), it's easy to make people think the game's gonna look like that.

yes, thank you...now i understand that Diablo 2 looked different but this game looks really good. did you look at the characters? and let alone look at all the "gore" that they had in the game play. It looks really good frankly, we have all been spoiled with nice looking games that suck ass as far as enjoyment goes lets just enjoy that we can re-live a little of our past and group together once more and crawl through dungeons lets enjoy a good game for once just because it is a good game. If you want a realistic game go work for blizzard and bitch directly, these guys are genius and they can frankly create in any style in which they see fit in my opinion, as long as they are fun games which with blizzard on the box should mean an awesome delivery so lets not complain some people (such as myself) have been waiting for this game since D2 and and still excited that they put it into development because frankly what money do they need considering the millions if not billions they make off of WoW alone. I expect Blizzard to only get better and better and they focus on making great games not just the income, like EA and all the other people in it for money such as Sony believe it or not people believe it or not.I for one say FUCK the petition
