My all time favorite guitar is the Gibson Les Paul.
In order
1. Les Paul
2. SG
3. Telecaster
4. Strat
5. Hollowbody electric
Strats and teles are actually tied.

yes it fits very comfortably in the palm of your hand, allowing easy up/down slide action.

If you play lots of sweeps on it, it gets tickled and becomes more firm

Zakk Wylde does it for me. Just love the art on it aswell as the designs on them. He is coming out with an sv which is an sg and a flying v stuck together.

Surprised that nobody's mentioned the Gibson Explorer yet...
Or the Fender Jaguar...
Anyhow, my all time favourite design is the Gibson Les Paul. It just doesn't get any better than that, imho.

i like a lot of different styles, but the one thing that i like the most is natural wood finishes, like on this guitar
http://www.penmachine.com/musicpages/musicimages/fender_tele_thinline.jpg
i hate the ones that have that gay plastic covering the wood
like this one

whatever the fuck it is, it ruins the feel of the guitar. makes it feel like a toy when i hold them.

That's usually the nitrocellulose finish they put on top of the paint.

Ya, it's mostly on Fenders and some Gibsons. I really like natural body guitars as well, specifically this (http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/2/4/9/536249.jpg), but I also like painted guitars like mine, which is this one. (http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/0/1/2/342012.jpg) I know, I know, it's an epiphone, but it's a damn good one. I may upgrade to the Gibson version someday though.

It's probably the pickguard. Most Telecasters have a pickguard like this one http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/fender_american_ash_telecaster.jpg
