this thread is completely dedicated to all the under rated and over rated actors. some under rated actors would be like Ron Perlman, and actor probably none of you have heard of. he was in blade2, really tall vampire guy that was good, and hellboy, he played hellboy. now and over rated actor would be ben affleck, he cant really act very well (maybe when he was in elementary school they were hoping for him to get better but from the way he acts in some movies my dog could out act him) and hes in a lot of movies because the girls thinks he hot. those are just to examples though. post who u think is undder rater or over rated

I think you got that backwards. Those are all horrible actors. Underrated means that they are good but nobody knows it.

Keira Knightley is overated, the only reason she is in any movies as she is damn hot, such a crappy actor thou. Dont see king arthur by the way.

will smith is over rated but he can act. did u see i,robot? he was great in it and it was an awsome movie too. and brad pitt is over rated but he also can act, se7en and 12 monkeys were great he can act.

Hmm, I have to say Boris Karloff was Underated, even to this day. We all know him as The Mummy, or Frankenstein. He gained that actor "status" in 1932/1933, and before then he acted in over 80 films.
Present day, I'm going to say Ben Afflek. Underated, Robert Carlyle (Angelas Ashes, End of all Wars)

yes, bruce campbell is underrated!!!
campbell came to my school last year and gave an AWASOME presentation!!! i forget what he said about his book, but he did talk about how reality tv is a bunch of bull shit. and of course he explained the evil dead trilogy (why they didn't match up was one thing).
man, he ripped on a lot of people during Q&A, it was great. best part was when some one was like "can you say groovy" something like that, and hes like "what am I, your fucking monkey?!" one guy ended up running away crying after asking a question lol.
oh and i hate ben affleck, OVERRATED!

Underrated - Tim Roth, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bill Murray,Adrien Brody (even though those last two have gotten recognition, i still feel they're underrated).
Overrated - Mark Whalberg(if hes even "rated" at all.), Vin Diesel

Vin diesel is very overrated so is Jennifer Lopez Both shiityy actors. Underrated actors-Al Pacino, Elijjah wood, and Jennifer Connoly

affleck is not that bad. He is a stud in Jay and Silent Bob. That is about it though....
I'd say tobey maguire is overrated. I mean, where did they get this guy? He is not who I pictured as Spider man at all. He is too skinny and goofy.

Jeff Bridges is great, but even more underrated is the guy that played Jesus Quintana, John Turturro.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on Tobey Maguire. This guy is such a perfect Spider-Man, it's like he was cloned from the comic book. And he can act.

I think that Tom Cruise is way over-rated, yet i did love Minority Report. For under-rated actors definitly Jack Black and the guy who played"Harry" on Dumb and Dumber.
