Any fellow MMOers?

Anyone else here an MMO crack head? (MMORPG: Massively Multi Player Online role Playing game). And if so, what's your drug of choice? I've got a level 73 ShadowKnight in EQ2, and a level 54 Rogue in WoW, and a 14 e/n in guild wars. But now I'm bored to death of all those games.

Anyone know any good FREE mmorpgs? I'll list the ones I tried to avoid getting ones I've already played. (PvP preferred). Also dont name games like Gunbound and GunZ because contrary to how they're sometimes categorized, they're not MMOs, not even close.

Already had a DS. Wasn't for me. Besides, you can't have an MMO on a hand held. That's an ORPG. I like MMOs because theres tons and tons of people all in one virtual world killing each other. Not to mention the virtual world is the size of a country. As oppose to ORPGs where you're limited to a small dungeon, there's no trading, etc etc. But thanks for responding, didn't think I was gonna get a response that fast.

Very true. I see it all the time in Ragnarok, but nobody's creepy about it. Right now, I'm playing on a private RO server called EternityRO. I think the most people I've seen online during the day is 1600 during War of Emperium (guild wars). Sometimes it drops to about 1000. Very nice community, competitive guilds, very easy to find parties. The popularity of RO is right up there with WoW. Hundreds of different private servers out there, as well as database websites, fansites, etc etc. There's no way you can be a PC gamer without hearing about RO at least once or twice.

Letsee, other MMO's I've tried with my gf include Maple Story (blegh), Trickster Online (not bad, kinda like RO), Lineage II, Guild Wars (played this for a while), and gawd help us we were even about to try out WoW...but nothing tops RO for us.

Ah okay. I have 2 Hard drives, my primary is full, and I can't really free that much space. Do you know if it's possible to set downloads to a different hard drive? Otherwise I'll only have enough room for RO.

I would just say to save it to your other hard drive when it asks for the option before the download starts

Out of all these i've played 2moons,RYL(both versions),Shadowbane(free pvp/pk ftw),Rakion(Not a mmo),Mu,Rf online,Runescape.

Best pvp out of those imo would go to RYL, close second shadowbane.

Word, retail was the shit, but the grind was :(, had a 77 titan in C5(played since C1) but it got banned, after that I played my friends 78hawkeye/76spellhowler noble and hero(my friend pretty much gave me that char because he quit).

But yeah, i quit retail about a year and a half ago, and play private servers every now and then, only high rate ones though, like echokinetics was awsome in it's prime but it's been shut down now due to lack to players, also played GvE in it's prime which also rocked, but now it's lame, full of people who have full +16 s grade gear, who have been playing forever, while you're stuck in +0 B grade.

Haven't played L2 private servers for a few months now, been playing WAR beta/ CoD4 a lot, WAR is a pretty sweet game so far, but it's pvp is very meh compared to L2's.

Last Chaos was pretty fun. Same people as Shaiya but they worked with it more. Something I really liked is theres like an event every day. And scamming people, which was awesome. It has one of those "pay real money" shops, and in that shop you could buy a dye for your mount. So I would go around saying "Selling Blue Horse, 1 mill!" and some noob would trade with me and be like "WHY DUSNT IT SEY BLU?" so I'd lie and say it doesn't show till you mount it or w/e, and make a free mill.

For some reason Ragnarok isn't working. When I click it, nothing happens. I have Guild Wars NF and Prophecies, but idk. There's some weird lag everytime I play and it's unbearable.

Also there's no option where to save it when I start the download? (edit: Mozilla)

Also Rohan online looks pretty good. Is there any PvP in that?

This would be the IDEAL (free) MMO for me.

Either a really good point and click with PvP, like Diablo, except Diablos not an MMO.
Or a really good WASD game with PvP. Either way, I don't want an MMO that's solely PvE. To me that's a waste of time. Thanks again doods.

Yea, pvp/townwars. The game is also full of bots.. if you care about that stuff.

After much debate, and looking over about 30 different lists with a friend, I decided to give Mabinogi a try. Something about it just seems very appealing. I'll let you know what I think about it. I'm currently on gay wireless so DLing takes forever.

Get Warhammer when it comes out. The RvR is fucking amazing with the keeps and the instanced RvR Scenarios are fun too. Public Quests are the shit.

I actually started playing City of Villians recently, and its a huge culture shock, after spending 3 years on wow and being around completely assholes 24/7 on it, having everyone be nice and helpful on CoV, its just not normal.

I am having alot more fun on CoV/CoH than I have had on wow in a very long time.
