i recently switched from dsl to cable internets. my old dsl company never said anything about me downloading stuff off bittorrent. today i got a letter in the mail from my new cable company (just three days after i got it hooked up) saying they caught me downloading illegal files and they could tell the FBI about it. they also named the files that i had downloaded the first day i got it hooked up (a few movies and a cd). is there any way to block my isp from knowing what i download? i dont download a whole lot of stuff, maybe one movie and one cd a week, but im a little worried since ive only had this isp from 3 days and have already got a letter.

Peer Guardian, download it now, it will blacklist probably millions of companies getting any information from you at all whilst its on, i.e your internet providers or any cunt trying to bust you wont be able to do so

EDIT: even blacklisted those fuckin Sony japs from seeing what i do, sneaky slant eyed bastards.

peer guardian 2 is extremely necessary to block anti-piracy corporations.

Just turn it on when you open like utorrent or limewire.

You don't need to have it on all the time (but you can if you wish to block like ad companies from websites etc, but it's not really needed).

Look on the bright side, you weren't caught with CP, becuase you would be fucked.

But seriously, isn't that an invasion of privacy or something, like, that it's illegal?

Or, you can just switch ISP

Or, you can start buying things legally

PS. If they caught you downloading things illegally, wont they know you're trying to fight them by making this thread?

Delete your system32 folder, will prevent them from seeing any activity you go about online.

peer guardian wont stop your IPS from seeing what you download you tools.

all your traffic goes through their servers.

chances are that it wasn't your ISP snooping on you as opposed to an anti-piracy organisation that logged your IP from a torrent tracker and reported it to your ISP.
