i saw a guy on dota-allstars do more than 50 under 45mins using tidehunter, but that is an impressive score.

I used to play that game all the time. I've never seen anyone get over 30 in the newer versions of the game. I've gotten in the low 20s myself before I think. I've probably gotten way more in some earlier incarnations of dota.

I played warcraft III and TFT off and on for a long time and was amazing how fast the community evolved. There was a time when I could go into a dota game and pick an agility hero and know I would be able to carry my team to a win no matter how bad they were. With balance changes and the ever improving tactics that the competitive setting of battle.net breeds, the average player now is much better than I was then.
