Ok first off, call of duty 6 is already sort of announced and its going to be by infinity ward.... the world at war still doesn't have a solid release date...
and .... call of duty 6 will have a sci fi universe, like maybee were fighting a war and all of a sudden weird shit is gonna happen and we will be fighting fuckin aliens..

The whole time I was playing COD 4, the only improvement I could think of was "man, it'd be sweet if they set a COD game in like a sci-fi future"

didn't work in battlefield and I don't think it'll work in CoD. They should have done vietnam.

Surely you jest. Titan mode is the only good thing to ever come out of the Battlefield series since Desert Combat.

I thought that 2142 wasn't nearly as successful at BF2, I could be wrong though. I just know that for a lot of fans, the future aspect really turns them off.

Lies, Project Reality for BF2 is the best thing to come out of the battlefield series end of. 1942 did kick ass in its time aswell, desert combat was pretty cool i agree.

That's pretty odd. I usually keep up with the total conversion scene, and I had no idea of it's existence. I'll look at it.
BF2 standard is bad though.

They should rip off Killzone 2 some more while their at it, ie take their cover system as well.
so im gonna get as frustrated as i do in halo and run around in a fucking space suite jumping upwards of 10 feet, good job ward

The Vietnam war killed the PC game battlefield, the franchise never really recovered from that IMO.
So I doubt COD, a game thats competed with battlefield for a while now, would ever touch it.

Either way it's just humans against another species of animal or themselves. I don't know how it gets anymore original than that? Maybe robots?
Oh, and they basically said this took place in an alternate sci-fi universe. So couldn't that mean it could still take place in the present and not the future? It could be like war of the worlds or something, could be interesting.

Regardless of the setting the majority of the gameplay will be exactly the same, just like COD 4 is exactly the same as COD 2 but in a different setting.
Not that I'm complaining, I played through both several times and put in many hours of COD 4 multiplayer but after awhile you realize your just doing the exact same thing over and over with almost zero skill involved.

maybee for like online, (if we are in ww2/ww3 mode still) we can upgrade the guns we get with a lil alien technology.

I never really enjoyed humans vs. aliens.
Now, humans vs robots. I think that could be interesting if it's put together correctly. War of the worlds is kind of like humans vs robots, because I classify 80 foot tall walking beasts with headlights as robots.

Yeah standard bf2 i can only play for like one map max lol.
Project Reality, as you have probably read about now is based on modern warfare and obviously realism, it is by far the best mod ive ever played for any battlefield game considering i do love my games with more realistic features (a game can only get so realistic i know ).
The combat is far more intense and teamplay is a requirement, infact if you dont join a squad most servers auto kick u and following the commands of the commander and squad leaders is important, there are alot of cool guys out there and lots of good team players, its fucking great when you co-ordinate attacks and end up in massive fire fights, in which 1 bullet can just fuck you to death, other times get wounded etc, have to bandage up and that, or if you lose to much blood you start dying and will eventually bleed out.
Lots of class kits you can request at bases or squad spawn points i.e sniper, marksman, gunner, pilot and so on. It is probably also the most difficult to get used to but i had a blast playing it once i did, Basra is a cool map, team of insurgents vs either british or american soldiers, the coalition force has to find all there weapon stashes in the city and destroy them, whil ethe insurgents have to obviously defend, i like to to be the Ambusher insurgent, place some IEDs down xD.

They should do a Call of Duty set in the time period when they only had black powder muskets.
And thats the only weapon in the game not including a canon you can wheel around/

I would be excited but I'm one of the few people that think Call of duty is a pretty looking, but overall boring game. I did enjoy the storyline though.
