well right off the bat, this is probably a repost, but the xfps thread got me thinking about it.

So this controller, lets u feel whats on the monitor. well i suck with words, but here you go, a link to the video with the new pistol grip attachment. Theres an orange box bundle coming out soon... if its not already out.

Ok, it looks semi cool, but I've got one question. I don't own a Wii, they've never had an FPS demo at Gamestop or Best buy, and I see the same problem with this as I do with the Wiimote.

How the fuck do you turn around? The only way I can think of is if you have the controller turned far enough in a direction that you keep on turning until you move it back towards the center, like a glorified analog stick basically. Is that how it works? I've never handled it obviously...but it seems that could get annoying really fast...or is it easy to get adjusted to? How does it know when you want to be at rest?
And if they say how in the video I'm sorry, I don't have audio at the moment.

qft.... i bet its gonna be VERY expensive.

and plus 1 major flaw of it would be my hand gettign tired from holding a gun above my desk for so long... playing this shooter on the wii did the same thing because i stood up.... but who knows.

Nice, but completely useless if you want to be good at the game.

You wouldn't know this until you actually get hands on experience with the device. Second, consider me old school but I prefer having fun playing a game rather than spending all my time mastering it.

Every shot you take with that will jog your aim. I don't need to play it to realise that.

Fair enough, but it may very well help in character movement and aim, so you can't trash it before you actually try it out.

It looks completely gay, it is just really a stupidly complicated mouse that kicks back when you fire and i dont see why it would offer you a better gaming experience, it just looks like an awkward way to play a game, its not like you're aiming at the screen and shooting ( like time crisis or something ) you're just pulling a stupid little gun thing around to move a mouse cursor.

You'll probably be able to turn that feature off if you want though.

I think we're all missing the big point here. Look at how that thing is built. There's no way twitch gamers will be able to use that without it breaking, it looks almost like it's about to break.

This is by far the only useful application for such a device.
