I went to gamestop at 11:30 pm to get Madden 09 at Midnight. I got it, went home, smoked a bowl then I popped it in. Update 1.10 shows up, I download it and when madden starts up, it just quits and says "An error occurred during the startup operation (80010017)" I called gamestop and they said they can't do shit until tomorrow (later today or whatever).

That's BULLSHIT! I am really fucking disappointed that I paid an extra $5 and waited until midnight just to get it and not even being able to play it.

I better get some motherfucking discounts or something.

Is Madden really worth any of that?

My friend bought it and he says it freezes all the time on his PS3, though the update helped a little.

The core gameplay has been changed and it really is amazing. The gameplay itself is worth the change, and is the best addition to the series considering that's all you can really get as a change. The graphics are better, players look alot more realistic. Feature wise, it has the same shit as before with some madden moments thrown in, online leagues and bla bla bla. I think it's amazing, I'm not sure if I'd buy a new version every year, I bought 08 and 09 thinking it couldn't get much better. It is worth it, especially if you've never bought Madden before or at least not for a while.
