the closest u'll get is a band that has 70s/80s punk roots...like Bad Religion, NOFX etc...who knows there may even be a revival if enough disgrunted punks arised. It would probably have a modern sound tho

no thats not what everybody likes.. and it is what todays pop-"punk" music is about..if u want older music then dont watch much. go buy it from a local CD or record store..or even download some of it on your computer..much is basically all new stuff, except for loud.. it's good.. george is awesome.. my friends a guy and he loves him.. and hes straight so you no. anyways..

There are a lot of bands today that have the punk sound. Like, lower class brats, the adicts, chaos uk, the vibrators, the dickies....

I'd also recommend Deathcab for Cutie, Brand New, Jet, and The Killers.
