Can't WAIT for this one. I think it's too bad the game is so soon in the season, but either way this is the game of the year.
I think it will be Ohio State over USC by one score.....because Ohio State has Terrelle Pryor.

Ohio State and USC, yea that'll be a good game....
But if I were going to have mid-field, front row tickets to any regular season game this year, it would Oklahoma vs Texas, Red River Rivalry game, hands down.

Yea man, I'm pretty damn jealous.
However, I do plan to go see Oklahoma vs Mizzou in the Big 12 championship game, and that should be a Bowl-caliber game right there.
But yea, I'd strangle 5 cute kittens for a single lower level mid field ticket to the Red River Rivalry game(who are the fags that called it the red river shootout? thats just gay).

I bet whichever Texas high school team takes state this year would probably give Appalachian State one helluva run.
And lol@ OSU Michigan being college football's greatest rivalry. Yea that's right there along with the Army Blackknights vs the Navy Midshipmen. Or Harvard vs Yale. Yea those are awesome!!!

Nothing compares to OSU Michigan, I've been to a game at Columbus when i was younger, and i've been to Ann Habor for the game too. I've also been to the Red River ShootOut, 5 out of the last 10 years, and i will say that OSU Michigan tops that by far. Still a good rivarly, but it's to early in the season. But it is kinda cool to see one side of a staduim Burnt Orange, and the other side Maroon, but by halftime, all the Okies and pompus ass UT fans are drunk off their ass and don't give a fuck about the game.

Not that I'm defending Michigan losing to App State, but they were DI-FCS National Champs 2005, 2006, & 2007. Michigan went in thinking they were going to stomp them and their overconfidence cost them dearly. I'm not arguing that. App State is hardly "a bunch of high schoolers." If you think that, you truly know nothing about sports.
Oh, and let's not forget that 7 App State players were drafted and/or signed this past year. Dexter Jackson was selected in the 2nd round and Corey Lynch was taken in the 6th.
Mmm...and then look at OSU vs Michigan players in the NFL...ya know...the place where it COUNTS?
Tom Brady. Braylon Edwards. Charles Woodson. Jason Avant. Ty Law. Cato June. Amani Toomer.
The only good thing that comes out of OSU is receivers and LBs. Troy Smtih humps a fat one. Mike Nugent is god-fucking-awful. Even your WRs aren't that gifted, other than Gonzalez.
Though I will give Vrabel props.
Get OVER it OSU....you'd have to beat us 16 more years IN A ROW to even tie the series.

First of all, Tom Brady did not make Michigan, and Michigan didn't make Tom Brady. He got good AFTER college.
OSU has the only two-time Heisman winner, and we've beaten Michigan 6 out of the last 7 times we've played. Stop turning to the pre-WWII era to defend Michigan, saying something like "oh we've won more games." Yes you have. 50 years ago. The only tihng that counts in sports is the present. And as of late, Michigan has not beaten Ohio State.
As for whoever said Pryor won't play more than a series, well they're playing him for the entire first half of the upcoming Youngstown State game. Depending on how he does then will probly decide if he plays much against USC. But Jim Tressel recently had a scrimmage game where he only let Terrelle Pryor run the football one time. He ran it for a touchdown. So I can't wait to see how he'll play in college.

And I love you say "live in the present!" then point out the last 7 years.
Yes, we've lost 6 games in 7 years. But in the ten year span from 1988 to 1998, Michigan went 7-2-1 against OSU. So...what exactly is your point?
And I don't NEED to go back to pre-WWII era. From 1977 to 2007, Michigan has a record of 17-13-1 against OSU.
I could go on and on and on...but I won't. Face it, OSU will never be as good as Michigan.

Brady was mostly a backup for Michigan actually.
In the last 50 years i believe Ohio State has won 3 or 4 more games. Seeing that Michigan won the Bulk of their games in the early 1900's, Where they had an established football program and Ohio State just had gotten started, Michigan won the first 11 or 12 games. Ohio State has 6 national Titles since 1948, Michigan only has 1 title, and even that was a Split title with Nebraska, where everyone would have bet on Nebraska wiping the floor with Michigan that year. Lets see, all of Michigans great running backs turn out to be Bust in the NFL, Mike Hart will probably be one too. Ohio State has produced quailty defensive players in the NFL. The Schools are pretty even on NFL players actually, and to say the NFL is where it counts, that's just stupid to even say where i think College is 40 times better than the NFL. But that's just my opinion. There is something to be said about a team that's won the Most National Championships beside Norte Dame and has only One SPLIT title in the last 60 years...hmm.

LOL you tell me not to live in the past, but you have to reach back 50 years ago to have OSU have a winning record against Michigan? I love the "OSU didn't have a set college football team!" argument. Michigan had only had a team for a little over a decade. It took OSU 15 straight YEARS to beat Michigan. You can't tell me any program can ride the coattails of "we're new!" for THAT long.
Uhhh and you want to start throwing stats around about how "Great" OSU is....both Michigan AND Ohio State have 7 national titles.
-Michigan has the most wins (869) and highest win percentage (.745) in NCAA history.
-The most conference championships of any football program in any conference (42).
-The most undefeated seasons in D1-A football (25).
-The most winning seasons (110).
-One of only TWO schools with a winning record against EVERY D1-A conference, including independent schools.
All of that on top of having the highest all-time strength of schedule rating in college football. (http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/rankings/all_time_team_sched_rankings.php ha! OSU is at 16..)
So just deal with it. Michigan is a better football team. Just because you WANT Ohio State to be better, doesn't mean it is going to happen.
I really enjoy the OSU vs Michigan rivalry. I live in Ohio, so I'm used to having to defend myself. No harm intended. Though you'll probably never read this text anyway.

You think I'm a Browns fan...UM..................no. See, I'm a Steelers fan, born and raised in Pittsburgh, and I guarantee you my Steelers have beaten your team, regardless of who they are, plenty of times more.
So let me say it again, quit looking to the past to big up Michigan. Yes the last 7 games is very much the present, including, um, the last time we met. You don't even have a quarterback this year. Some no name. You are ranked nationally only because of your name. You have a new coach, your star player is Sam McGuffie...you've got nothing to look forward to anytime soon, and OSU will probly win over Michigan for as long as Pryor is playing there.
It's only a matter of time before Ohio State takes over the record - you know, in modern times when football is much more competative.

Michigan has the most wins because they're the oldest program in the country. Talking about quality wins, not so much. Go back to your national title count.
The most conference championships---OSU will take care of that soon enough. Once again, Michigan is much older than Ohio State.
Ohio State has taken over Michigan. You can't keep riding your "storied HISTORY" to dig yourself out of the truth. You lost to Appy State, which shows how low you've gone, and to say that you are better than Ohio State after losing that game, well, you just can't. Beat osu and then come make an argument. But that wont happen for a while.

I never told you to stop living in the past, but it is true, the last 60 years has not been so kind to Michigan, and today, another Prime Example of Michigans down trend. The fact you think Michigan is even relevant anymore is laughable. The only reason anyone even talks about Michigan because the first half of then 20th century was very kind to them. They rank up there with Norte Dame as the most overrated sports teams. At least The Ohio State University contends for the national championship every season. Been 10 years since Michigan has really done anything. I mean, it's ok to be a Michigan fan, i don't hate them like my other Ohioians do, but to say they are better than Ohio State? Yeah, Maybe before 1948

Brady was mostly a backup for Michigan actually.
Yep.....keep talking out of your ass!!!
Brady battled for the number one quarterback position with Drew Henson and ultimately started every game in the 1998 and 1999 seasons under Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr. During his first full year as starter, he set Michigan records for most pass attempts (350) and completions in a season (214).[9] Brady was All-Big Ten (honorable mention) both seasons and team captain his senior year. The Wolverines won 20 of 25 games when he started and shared the Big Ten Conference title in 1998. Brady capped that season off with a win over Arkansas in the Citrus Bowl. In the 1999 season, Brady led Michigan to an overtime win in the Orange Bowl over Alabama, throwing for 369 yards and four touchdowns. He is ranked third in the University of Michigan history with 442 completions from 710 attempts.
I hate both Michigan and Ohio State, but I love me some Patriots and really really hate ignorant people who say shit out of their ass.

Well I could have looked up it all up on different websites but Wikipedia condensed it..... I did a 10 page report on him my freshman year of college, so I knew alot of that. I wouldn't call a 2 year starter "mostly a backup." If you consider starting 1/2 of your college career, starting and winning 20 of 25 games including 2 bowl games while being the 3rd most prolific passer in school history as mostly a backup .....you're fucking retarded.

Meh, that game didn't mean anything. Look at West Virginia, they just lost to East Carolina...I mean they got clobbered bad.
Chris Wells will be playing next week. If anything, today's sloppy game will add fuel to OSU's game next week. Nobody is giving us a shot, and the underdog in college - as was proven today - is always, always dangerous.
But as an Ohio State fan, I can't make an honest prediction about this one. I only hope for the best!

OSU got their ass's handed to them. That should drop them to the 10 spot if not higher. I hope Texas don't drop because of the bad weather that Austin DIDN'T GET!

Well, OSU did get shitted on. But in their defense, Beanie wasn't playing and we all know he could have kept drives going by getting us first downs, and secondly, Todd Beockman is a terrible quarterback. Seriously. Terrelle Pryor was able to throw AND run the ball better than Todd. And he's a freshman. He's gonna be great and I look forward to when he's the starting quarterback and we don't have to worry about Beockman choking again. Oh well, maybe we'll still get a shot at the championship. We're only ranked number 13 and it's very early in the season. If nothing else, maybe we can get the Rose Bowl or something.
