"The Life"?

My old roommate played NBA 08 on PS2 and he says it's coming out for PS3 and I should definitely get it. I saw on a forum that it's got a havoc engine which sounds cool for a sports game (FU looks sick) but he said the franchise mode and the "life" mode is why I should get it. anybody know what the hell he's talking about?

i did have the first version for ps2 bought it from Bali on holidays cause i couldn't find it anywhere in Australia so i didnt have the game manual or anything


franchise was shit and hard to catch onto the game play so if your buying a NBA game for the franchise mode go with Live imo 2k8 just didnt do it for me

the life is like a story mode kinda thing but theres no freedom to it,
for example u get this cut scene about you being the next best thing etc etc you get drafted to a team of your choice except the roster has been wiped and replaced with other characters in the story line

it then gives you a challenge eg.

you start in the 4th quarter and you have score 10 points get 5 assists and win the game to move on to the next cutscene

It's called NBA 09: The Inside not The Life. It will be ps3 exclusive, and developed by Sony just like MLB 08: The Show.
