Anyone else pick this up yet? I grabbed it off of steam hoping for a preload but that didnt happen until 3pm the next day, so I just finished downloading it and ive started the first mission. Really, I think this is much better then Crysis in terms of performance, I get a much steadier fps on high with a 1920x1200 resolution. I cant really comment on gameplay differences seeing how I am only on the first level, but the north koreans no longer absorb bullets like they did before. :bigwink:

Lots of reports of people with Radeon 4800 series cards not getting a brilliant performance ...
Nvidia optimisation ftw

Well this be better optimised with a NVIDIA 7900GTX?

Damn, looks like the snow levels are still a performance killer. I dont understand why its such a power hog compared to the non-snow levels.

Thats now an old card so don't expect to play on the top settings.

overkill on the amount of ram? lol
if my gtx 260 could run crysis at everything maxed at 1920x1200 except no AA, should i be able to run warhead with AA because its optimized?

Don't get your hopes up ... 1920x1200 AA will probably bring your 260GTX down on its knees ...
(crysis has alot of polygons = lots of edges x high resolution = ultra slow down)

I'm not sure if I'm going to be buying it, if it still plays the same as the first shitty multi included then I wont.

I just played it on my dads top of the line Dell, with an ATI HD 3600 and quad core 8Gigs of ram Desktop. It played like heaven.
So when i went back to my computer i just tweaked the settings a little by turning on shaders first so it looks pretty and turning some things off. it played decent and looked amazing.
Oh and to fix the crash update to the latest BETA NVidia drivers if you have an NVIDIA card.

I'm just guessing here, but I think its because each snowflake or whatever has to be rendered, same with raindrops but rain is a bit easier to render I believe, because its transparent. I'm not 100% sure about this though.
