There's nothing on IMDB about it. Besides, Christian Bale is too busy being John Conner for 2009. Solid Snake aint got nothin' on John Conner.

God, hes a good actor but I hope not. Although he can do the over the top voice (see dark knight)
I really don't think MGS is a good "Movie" game, you have to experience it, not just watch it.

Kurt Russell, all the way.
He played Snake Plissken in Escape From New York and the sequel that NEVER HAPPENED AND SHALL NOT BE MENTIONED AGAIN FROM THIS POINT ON.
We all recognize the "Snake", and in MGS2, Snake told Raiden that his name was "Pliskin".
It's perfect!

Agreed. MGS is something you definitely need to experience. I already get bored as fuck watching the cutscenes sometimes, so I couldn't imagine a whole movie without playing. lol.

I think Jack from Lost should be Snake. He just needs to buff up a bit more and get his voice right.

ok so i actually found so many articles on google regarding this rumor
but its not confirmed that hell be playing as solid snake, but hes "GUNNING" for the role of solid snake
so i assume he actually has some knowledge about the game itself?

Kurt Russell is *way* too old to play Solid snake. However, it would be beyond awesome if they got him to play Big Boss.
As for Snake, I'm still voting for Josh Holloway:
