How do you think this one turns out?
Personally I think B-Hop wins by SD. The general consensus is that Kelly will stop him inside of 10, but I think Hopkins neutralizes Kelly's one dimensional offense. Pavlik is like a robot, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2...uhh 3?
I think Hopkins is too smart of a fighter for Pavlik, even in his old age. He is the underdog, but I think he wins this one unless he gets caught, which is not a stretch because Pavlik definitely has power, especially his right hand.
After this one, Calzaghe-Jones Jr. is in a few weeks, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Hopkins seemed like he couldnt compete with Calzaghe in the later rounds because of his age. Pavlik is very strong and he is going up to 170 pounds for this fight. I think Pavlik wins in SD because Hopkins never gets knocked out.

He sure looked like he could compete when he put Calzaghe flat on his ass in the first round. Kelly went up to a catch weight in the second fight with Jermaine Taylor and he looked sluggish. It seemed like the extra weight took some of the snap off of his right hand and he couldn't find a home for his jab. This fight is at 170lbs. which is even higher than the catch weight for the second Taylor fight.

Hopkins is a 5-1 underdog. I think he pulls this off. Pavlik looks like a deer in headlights.

Pavlik had to come up in weight, and Hopkins isn't easy to knock down. Pavlik isn't without his weaknesses, I think Hopkins will win by 10th round KO.

If Hopkins wins, which I hope he does (he has a great attitude, and never ducked anyone) because I'd like to see him go out on top, it would be very unlikely for him to KO Pavlik. The odds are in favor of Pavlik winning by KO, but Hopkins has never been stopped in his career. Don't expect it to happen now.
If Hopkins pulls off the upset it will probably be by split decision. I understand why Pavlik is the favorite, but people tend to forget that Hopkins KO'd Oscar De La Hoya with a fucking body shot, and KO'd Felix Trinidad with a right hand.
Another side note:
- There was a poll taken, 12 sports writers were asked to pick the winner, all 12 chose Pavlik.
- They also asked some fighters, De La Hoya, Jermain Taylor, Vernon Forrest, and Shane Mosley all confidently picked Hopkins.
I think I'll stick with my pick - Hopkins by SD.

Edit: Look for the McCain special cameo appearance in the second video! haha!

Can anyone find a legit link to a free live stream of this for tonight? I can't find one anywhere, just a bunch of bullshit ones linked to pay sites. I know there's got to be a legit one, there almost always is for PPV events.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it!
Edit: I'll score this fight and post it here, editing after every round and keeping a running total...maybe a little commentary too. We'll see where I'm at with the judges official scorecards at the end of the bout, if it goes 12 rounds. :)
OK, here we go! (There will be no bias involved here, I come from a boxing family and am a true fan of the sport...and for any of you ignorant assholes - I'm white and I'm rooting for B-Hop to pull off the upset, but I have all the respect in the world for Pavlik, hes all hard work, and I like that)
Let's get it on!
Rd. 1: 10-9 Hopkins. Beat Pavlik to the punch in every exchange, landed cleaner shots, and defended exceptionally well as usual.
Rd. 2: 20-18 Hopkins. more of the same, except Hopkins is hitting spots more often, and he cut Pavlik's eye with a left hook. This isn't looking good for Kelly.
Rd. 3: 30-27 Hopkins has thrown more punches and outlanded Pavlik for the third round in a row. Continuing the trend. another 10-9 Rd. for Hopkins.
Rd. 4: 40-36 Hopkins.Again Bernard throws and lands more. Pavlik is getting totally outclassed. Hopkins looks like he's having fun in there, and Pavlik looks 1-dimensional: 1-2, 1-2, 1-2...missing with everything.
Rd. 5: 50-45 Hopkins. Pavlik is getting embarassed. He put the pressure on a little more but got outthrown again and didn't land as many. This is beggining to look like a blow out, but Hopkins is slowing down a little.
Rd. 6: 60-54. First round where Pavlik threw more than Hopkins. Pavlik closing the gap a little more but Hopkins still beating him to the punch landing cleaner and more frequently. Pavlik close to getting a point deducted for punching to the back of the head. Hopkins has won the first 6 rounds. Pavlik will not win this fight without stopping Hopkins - who has never been stopped.
Rd. 7: 70-63, 7 rounds to zero for Bernard Hopkins.Hopkins still has it, he's playing with Pavlik now. Kelly is completely outclassed. Hopkins is showboating now (windmill punch). Hopkins Outthrew and outlanded Pavlik again, throwing in combinations and looking extremely confident. As Larry Merchant just said "What a wipe out! 26 year-old Kelly Pavlik is being taken to the cleaners by a 43 year-old man!"
Rd. 8: 80-71 Hopkins. Pavlik finally looses a point for punching Hopkins in the back of the head after repeated warnings. More of the same, no need for commentary. Pavlik needs a knockout. I expect Hopkins to shut it down and play defense now...
Rd. 9: 88-81 Hopkins. Bernard knows this is over without a Pavlik KO. Hopkins shuts it down, picks his shots and plays defense. Pavlik bleeding from the left eye. Kelly Pavlik wins this round on pressure alone, and Hopkins looses an insignificant point at the end of the round for holding...I didn't see a warning though?
Rd. 10: 97-91 Hopkins. Pavlik takes another round on pressure alone, although he isn't landing anything clean or affective at all. Hopkins knows this is over, and like any smart fighter - he's packed it in. As a side note: this referee is awful - he deducted a point from Pavlik after only 2 warnings (there's supposed to be 3 before a deduction) and a point from Hopkins for holding after NO WARNINGS!
Rd. 11: 106-101 Hopkins. A shutdown round by Hopkins as expected, no one landed anything of any significance, but I'll give it to Pavlik on pressure alone. This one is all but wrapped up.
Rd. 12: 116-110 Hopkins. "Pavlik's face is bloodied, and his reputation is in shambles at this moment. Bernard Hopkins has dismantled the middleweight champion of the world. Bernard Hopkins is cruising to what should be an easy victoy." Another blowout round for Hopkins and he has made his point. Pavlik's camp is yelling at Hopkin's camp, and frankly they look like sore losers.
My final scorecard is: 116-110 Hopkins.
Official scorecards will be posted in a few minutes.
Edit: I missed the official scorecards, but all three judges had it as a blowout for Bernard Hopkins, winner by unanimous decision.
