This thread takes care of all the basketball seasons for the rest of the century, no need to make any more.
I wonder if the western conference will be as tough as last year. Hell, i'm a mavs fan because i'm in dallas so I like all the texas teams, we won what, 51 games last year, and came in the playoffs like 7th or 8th. I personally think they should realign the conferences, so it's more even, but i'm sure that won't happen. Any other Maverick fans out there think we have a chance this year? I think we'll berely make the playoffs and possibly surprise in the first round but lose in the second. Although i'm an optimist.

im a Suns and Mavs fan. I like Nash, and I like Dirk. Both going to end up being 6-8 seeds. too many good teams.
1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Utah
4. Rockets
5. Spurs
6.Suns
7.Denver
8.Mavs
I dont see much change from last year honestly, the good teams didnt lose much, and the bad teams didnt get much better imo.

LeBron > Kobe.
Cavs are going 54-26 this year. Mark it down.
#2 or 3 seed in the East.
Cavs vs. Lakers final. Cavs take it in 6.
This season will end the debate.

If you compare the cavs players to the lakers players, theres no comparison..
Even if hypothetically lebron was > kobe, the cavs still wouldnt beat them in the finals

You are right about that. But then how to you equate to the Cavs beating the Pistons two years ago to reach the finals? Oh and Last time I checked the Cavs took the Celts to 7 games while the Lakers only lasted six.
The Lakers are undoubtedly the more talented team. They are also better in the regular season. The Cavs however have the X-factor on their side (LeBron).
Cavs vs. Lakers is my dream final but here is how I think it will play out.
WEST FINALS
Rockets over Lakers in 5
EAST FINALS
Celtics over Cavs in 7
NBA FINALS
Rockets over Celtics in 6
T-Mac gets his first playoff series victory and title in the same year. T-Mac, Yao (if he can stay healthy) and Artest show the Celtics that they have their own Big 3.

The Wizards are off to a good start. By that I mean sucking so much it's not even worth it to watch them play.
