List your favorite side scrollers? I love side scrollers, have played so many, want to find some new ones.
Some suggestions of mine are, Cave Story (not to be confused with maple story), Castlevania, Mario (obviously), Contra, etc etc, list yours.

Double Dragon. Nothing like going through an urban area and beating everyone up that gets in your way without repercussion.

Keep it coming guys. I absolutely love side scrollers, and and glad to see a few games I've never tried that I can't wait to get into once I'm done with the 5-6 I'm currently playing.
Also to the person who said Kirby, which one? I only played the SNES one, which was fucking peeeeimp.

I love side-scrollers too. back in the mid-90s PS1 had some killer ones.
Skullmonkeys, Abe's Odyssey, Enhander...
although I cannot deny the classics like sonic and mario who made other side scrollers possible.
Why do these types of games not come out anymore? You can make a side-scroller and still have killer graphics and make it entertaining. It just doesn't seem to happen anymore... =\
EDIT: vectorman is the shiiiit

Sunset Riders ftw.
Sunset riders for the SNES, it was almost a straight port from the arcades. The genesis version was way different (and I had a genesis)
