Motherfucking Legend of Dragoon. No turn based/random battles and grinding though. A timed active button chain system with team combinations and the ability to control movement could work. That way you can pay homage to the old way and still be fresh.

It has been done. They're re-releasing it on the Nintendo DS. Improved graphics is the on;y thing that's different, I think.

I forgot the name but some company bought the rights to Mechwarrior and two or three other franchises and then announced they were gonna make an MMO of one of them. No news since then but Mecwarrior MMO (done right) would be my dream game.

I want the next GTA to be back in Vice City, it's the best setting of all the GTA games. Would be fantastic to see how the city is doing 20 odd years on from Vice's era.

I hope you're not serious. The whole appeal of Vice City was that it was set in the 80's...everything from the clothes, the cars to the soundtrack.

If you set it 20 years from Vice City it would just be modeled after Miami in the new millenium which would be really bland.

Hell yes! And Knights of the Old Republic! I don't want an MMO. I want a single-player, offline RPG just like the first two, but with better graphics, bigger worlds, custom lightsaber hilts, more Jedi robes, and I wanna be able to put my hood on. Have you seen the Jedi robes from The Force Unleashed? That's what I wanna see. Those were badass.

Tribes 2 did team based vehicular combat before it was cool, and it did it with jetpacks.

It had: customizable weapon and item selection, objective based combat, aircraft, huge maps, 50+ player servers, unique weapons (spindisc anyone?), tons of mods, and I could even play it on a freakin 56K modem. All of this in 2001.

Now that I think about it, so many games have come out since then with just one or two of these features and been hailed as revolutionary. Just look at Warhawk, a fun game to be sure but Tribes 2 did the same thing 7 years ago, and I would say did it better.

After writing that post I went and watched some videos of it on youtube, I had forgotten just how awesome that game was. Even now the graphics are very pleasing to look at and I am about ready to drive home from college and go digging for my old CD. I know its still there somewhere lol
