Who picked this up so far? I got the special edition with the sweet Chimera action figure. I have to beat little big planet first, but I can't wait to play it after.

I have it an am playing it now. I'm loving it so far. Everything that was wrong with the first one I think is much better. Controls aren't as blocky, enemies don't take a nuclear warhead to take down at times, and better atmosphere. There are parts where I jumped more than alot of horror games to. I picked up the CE as well and for the extra $20 it was well worth it. Here's my PSN ID if you want to add me

I was going to pick up the CE until I saw the crappy flimsy box it came in, so I got the regular one instead. The CE stuff just takes up space after the novelty wears off, and the only thing I cared for was the extra gun skin anyway.

I only played to the end of the second mission but so far it feels just like any other FPS'r. It reminds me a lot of Half-Life 2. I hope things pick up later in the game, and the storyline doesn't turn out to be the typical 'Aliens invade, Hale fights back, infiltrates mothership, destroy mothership' kinda deal.

Trying to balance time between this and LBP/RB2/GH4 is driving me nuts.

I still have a shitty taste in my mouth from the pile of dung that was the first game. It's gonna take something pretty fucking special to get me to buy this.

You disgust me.

Just completed it, for once I really feel I got value for money. I got a shit load of hours of entertainment out of it, and I'm pretty satified at completing it. Took me a couple weeks, beats paying £45 for the average game and finishing it that same afternoon.

Well, sucks for you. Guess you missed out on a good game.

I finished it today. It was a great game but very short, clocked in about 10 hours, and the last boss was piss easy. He was easier than Saddler in Resident Evil 4. Other than that I think it was well worth the money. The Chicago level was brilliant. Onto Quantum of Solace now.

I played it for about three hours, Crysis was funner if that gives you an idea of how boring Farcry 2 felt.

So I've played it for a bit today. It's still got the same solid game play, but the enemies seem easier this time around.

I think the online servers are overloaded or something. I keep getting a 'Network Connection Failed. Disconnecting from network (001713B2)' error whenever i try to play online.

Anyone else getting this?

Well I finished the campaign, and attempted to get online. Needless to say I'm having the same problems as the person above. I managed to get into an unranked game once for 5 minutes, after trying to connect many times. It's day three now and I'd like to play some of that 60 player online I've been promised. In a nutshell I'm pissed, and hope they resolve this soon, or I'll have to buy COD WAW sooner than I thought. Also I change my stance on the single player, it does get progressively harder.

I fucking hated this game. Oh, and those problems you're facing, I get them, too. I just keep trying and eventually it lets me in.

I finally got online to work. Sometimes I get that "Network connection failed" error, which I think is the servers being down. Other times I get 'No Games Found' which means I can keep trying and eventually it lets me in after a few tries.

Online co-op mode is okay, but random matching virtually guarantees that you will never have a full team of competent players.

In theory, the soldier is supposed to stand in front with the shield up, while the special ops stands behind the soldier and continuously feeds ammo packs to keep the ammo and shield levels up. In reality it never works that smoothly. You have soldiers strafing left/right making it impossible for anyone to take advantage of his shield, and special ops trying to be lone snipers and tossing ammo packs in random directions, or don't even bother tossing ammo at all.

The only class worth playing at the moment is a medic, which is currently the exp whore. One direct blast of the pheonix on an injured teammate will net you 240xp, which is more exp than taking down an elite chimera. The crappier your team --> the more damage the team takes --> the more exp points the medics can get. And trust me, there are a lot of crappy players online. I think a future patch will gimp medics and boost special ops, since 30xp per ammo pack is too little.

If you play online and want to maximize exp gains, I advise playing as a medic in Chicago. Stand far back and watch your team get gang-raped by grims so you can blast heal everyone for huge exp gains. I played one game as a medic doing this, and my score was over ~50,000 points, while the second place guy was ~30,000.

I've already finished the solo game on Superhuman level. Co-op is kinda meh, and I don't plan on playing the insane hours to get the 10,000 online kill trophy. I wish they based trophies off skill rather than time played.

Whatever, I'll be shelving this game soon anyway for CoD5 or NFS:Undercover.

Madman, Far Cry 2 was a total crock of utter shit.

Resistance 1 was worst.

But far cry 2 is only slightly better because it looks prettyish.

I dont see resitance 2 being that great but I'm sure it's better than the both of those.

It's pretty fun so far. One thing I do have a problem with is how much auto-aim there is. You don't even have to try to aim; just point in the enemy's general direction and you're guaranteed a perfect shot.
