So it was confirmed today that there will be a Dead Rising 2. I remember the devs saying a while back that they were planning on it, but I guess today it was confirmed. I'm excited. Anyone else?

I was let down by Dead Rising. It just seemed way too strict and intentionally difficult. Like the saving system was horrible. And I didn't like how the game would literally end if you failed a mission.
Killing zombies was awesome, it would be nice to have a free roam mode and just run around killing. This way you dont have to worry about the story
Left 4 Dead will be better then this

While I agree with the horrible save system, I didn't find it too difficult except for the movie theater mission. And it sort of does have a free roam. After you beat the story, if you choose not to get on the helicopter, you can stay in the mall and see how long you can survive.

I've been playing the L4D demo and I do find it more fun than Dead Rising, but I think it is going to fail in terms of story and overall playability. The multiplayer is what is going to carry it.

Man the playability on L4D owns, unless you've been playing it on normal or something ? Expert is the only difficulty to play this game on. Normal is weak, we sailed through normal on the two demo maps without having to heal once, its boring. Expert is when it kicks ass and you got a fuck load of zombies who do more realistic damage and they are pouring through the doors at 80mph and you gotta take those fuckers down before they tear you a new one. Of course multiplayer is where its at, thats what this game was designed for.

same with someone who posted above got dead rising played it for an hour and never played it again. it has huge potential but the missions just made the game so shitty. it should be more free roam type of game rather than mission based. i wanted to kill zombies as the main part of the game in a mall and then have the choice to do quests on the side. Like GTA style.
