you know you can never go on live again with that harddrive now, right? Microsoft let out a statement saying that a bit ago. Also the reason you think it sucks is because 90% of it is improved online stuff. Hell just about all you can do offline is create an avatar.

My room mate has it, and its not all that great, you cant even create an avatar offline.

The only good thing so far is the install to hard drive, which just takes the racket of the disk spinning.

Yes. Its just a major update that is getting rid of the blades and they are trying to make it more user friendly, with avatars like the wii, etc...

I know there are some games that require you to have one, like the Live version of 1 vs 100. But I'm not sure if you have to make one. I know that creating your gamerpic based on your avatar is optional.

that doesnt mean the install is. I installed madden 09 and it took up 6.something gigs, I had to delete a bunch of demoes just to fit it on my 20 gb hard drive.

Interesting, I saw a video where he installed GTA IV (I think) and it was like 4.6 gigs or something, I was surprised. I guess I just took for granted they'd all be small then.
