the trunk of the 540 is very spacious and the back seat is quite large. What kind of stuff do you need to tote around?

lol i pimped a minivan for about a year to and from work so i didnt put miles on the 944. Then i bought my audi and i rarely drive the 944 anymore and i junked the minivan. lol it was great the door was smashed in ,the sliding door window fell out so i duck taped it up with some plastic. A head light was broken the AC was broke. The bitch had 240k Miles on her. Man i loved that car :)

I also have an E39 540i, but its not a wagon. These cars are extremely powerful and comfortable. The BMW would probably keep up with the Stang, or wouldnt be far behind it.

Why? Is HP everything? I always thought there were two sides to a car. Design and performance. If I wanted 340 HP for 35,000 dollars, I'd buy a Mustang Cobra with 390 HP. Which, I like the design on as well.

The magnum is hardly a wagon. I consider it to be more of a roadster just because of it's design and the fact that it has great handling. It's one of the finer modern muscle cars out there right now, in my opinionFor 35 grand you can get the 5.7L Hemi, GPS navigation, sunroof, Boston Acoustics speakers, all the upgraded security stuff, remote start, and some other stuff.

It's a really versatile vehicle. Check it out on the Dodge website and see how many awesome features it has. It has alot of Mercedes components in it and it's a really well-built car.

why do you clowns think everybody's #1 priority in getting a car is seeing how FAST it can go? THe 540i is one of the best all around cars on the market today, hands down. Don't like the wagon because it doesn't LOOK KEWL? well in life hardly anybody cares about how damn cool your car looks, most of you freshmen will learn that in a few years when you're riced out ________ (insert any automatic economy car under $15K new MSRP here) goes from being the coolest shit in the parking lot senior year, to a stinkin trash heap nobody gives 4 fuks about freshman year in college.

P.S. A 540i 6MT wagon (do the wagons come 6MT?) would smooooke a v6 stang, and be a damn good race with a GT. But oh yea, the bimmer will last 200K miles, have more luxury and options than what you need, and ride like a dream at the same time.

I gotta agree with Custom on some things... Okay, so it's not a sports car, well.. if it suits his needs, as it obviously does, and it's not a POS.. then any flaming is pretty much just pointless because it's just a rude way to express your preference of sports cars. Personally, I am a sports car fan, both import and American, and I think BMWs are just awesome, no matter what model. Though I'd personally want one of the 5's. BMW is BMW, you have to give it -some- respect because the brand he bought is trustworthy and longlasting from what I've seen and heard in the past. Everything else is a matter of preference though, the guy is just happy cause he got a car he wanted and he wanted to share his joy, lol. :)
