I'm looking for a good game that isn't like others, preferably for computer, or any old systems like snes, or handheld systems.
I'm bored with regular rpgs, fps, and other bullshit

It's kind of hard to explain, I think there's a synopsis on the website.
It's still under development, and quite possibly won't be finished for a long time, but you can download any new versions that come out and it has improved over the years.
The game is....epic in scale to say the least.

Quite honestly, I don't think the game would be for you. Heck, it wouldn't be for many people, and really, that's perfectly fine. It's also unfortunate, because the game is amazing.
Dwarf Fortress can best be described as a combination of the Sims, Sim City, with a healthy dose of rogue-like thrown in. And even that comparison falls short.
The game definitely suffers graphically, which would be the obvious reason why I'd say it isn't for you. It's ASCII graphics. It's also extremely complex and comprehensive, so it's difficult to learn. I am absolutely positive, however, that if you can get passed the graphics, and learn to play it, you'll find it a very memorable experience. It has the same blessing/curse of every roguelike, you WILL end up losing, but you'll love the stories that come from losing.
I mean, how many games can you say a single female dwarf ended up wrestling three tentacle demons to death before succumbing? :boink:
While it doesn't look like much, the game succeeds in doing much more than any commercial game has to date that I know of.
edit:
Small note, the main reason why I love Indie games is because the majority of the developers say "This is my game, these are my plans for it, if you don't like it, fuck you." Imagine what some commercial games could have pulled off if they had said the same?

If your looking for something totally different, try Dangerous Waters. Its a naval simulation (Dont worry you can tone down the realism) but anyway I picked it up after reading Red Storm Rising (which you might want to read just to learn all the jargon) by Tom Clancy which made modern naval combat sound really tense and exciting. There is even a user made campaign that follows the book.
You can command a ship (just like the one in the book), a helicopter, plane, and of course a variety of submarines. It takes a day or two to learn all the basics but its worth it. Definitly not for everyone but I enjoy it, if you want WW2 sub combat I suggest the Silent Hunters series.
Its $15 on Steam.
