Dude Heart of Darkness was hard as FUCK. I think I was only like, 5 when I played it though, so that might have been why. Soul Blade is the original Soul Calibbur game. it was pretty badass.

Well said, I fuckin' hate these pussy, Anne Rice-type vampires. And when it came to LoK, it can't be considered a straight up vampire game since there was so much more to it (mythology, time travel, free-will, paradoxes, etc). LoK had one of the best video game stories ever and they told it very well. I was obsessed when Soul Reaver 2 came out, with all the revelations they revealed in that game, which made the wait for Defiance even more exciting.

Unfortunately, just like many underrated games go, sales were never that great. I guess most people thought the gameplay was kind of dry.

What I want is some old arcade-style games where you play against another person, but with up-to-date graphics, sound, and action. Most new games are great, but you don't sit down for 15 minutes and play 5 games against each other, then go outside. You're there for a week, and then done with the fucking game, unless you become completely addicted and play online all the time.
