I was just about to fall asleep last night when the most-awesome idea for a video game came to me. My hope is that some designer stumbles upon this and decides to make it...
Okay.
You start off as a caveman who's been alive for over a hundred years. You never age. You fight on your own against the elements as time quickly passes by. Soon you're living in the first city-states.
Thousands of years pass and you're forced to adapt throughout human history. You experience every major moment in our past. One day, when science catches up, you learn that the reason for your longevity is because of some bizarre "allergy" to Earth's atmosphere, and the only way you can die is if you leave it.
The game ends when you travel into space on the first civilian flight to Mars. After thousands of years, you get to die.
If you've seen The Man From Earth that's basically what this is, but I wasn't thinking of that film when this idea came to me and - even so - I think it's a really cool idea.
