Is it possible to download a soundboard?

I tried downloading the arnold and al pacino soundboards but can't. Is there a way to do it or do you just have to be online to use them?

I just right click and "Save Target As" i got like 33 prank call ones. I love them so much i burn them and listen to em in the car

I'm talking about downloading the soundboards not the prank calls. I tried 'save target as' and it downloads in a second but it doesn't work offline.

It's easy. First go to the page that the soundboard you want is on. After the board is loaded fully, use the search option on your computer to search for the Temporary Internet file. Open the file and look for a SWF file, it will be in the colum to the left of the url's, that will be the soundboard you are looking for. Drag the file where ever you want to put it and you will be able to use the soundboard offline. if you have any more questions ask away.

hey, umm, i did that and i don't have any temporary internet files on my computer, i am using AOL, and have windows xp, please help me...

Ok, First, when you searched for the Temporary Internet file, did you type the word File? If you did, that was wrong. Only type (Temporary Internet) in the search window. If that doesn't work, log on to aol. At the top of the window(where it says mail, people, sevices, ect...) click Settings, and click on Preferences. Now a window should pop up. In that window click on the Internet Properties (it should be in the far right colum) A new window should pop up. In the middle of that window you should see Temporary Internet files. Click on the button marked Settings. Another window will pop up, in that window click the View Files button. You should see the files in the Temporary Internet folder. Now all you have to do is follow the instructions from my last post. That should do it for you, if it doesn't, put up another post and i will try to explain it better or come up with another way to do it. And If it did work, post anyway and tell me. I would like to know if i am explaining these things properly.

Try this, when I also had the same problem and someone on this forum told me to go search, and look up "Metaproducts download express" Once it loads up dowload the program to your computer. Then you should be able to find it by hitting start on your desktop. Go to download express options, then integration
there will be a list of files, add "swf" to the end of that list and hit ok, hope this helps

Um, well the obvious, Flaash or maube Dreamweaver or Director. You could also just open a internet exploer window and drag the file there, I think that works.

Still struggling a little bit here. i can't seem to identify the files. When I search the file type (SWF), none show up. But I know they're there cause I have the Full Metal Jacket running. What gives? Any help?

We've got a situation here. We can find and open the swf file, but all the soundclips seem to be embedded into the swf file. We want to extract each individual sound, to be used for our system sound schematics. Help, this is life or death.

Exactly! How can we do that? Basically, when the computer is turned on, we want judge judy to say "good afternoon". Then at login prompt we want her to say "tell me your name". We're bona-fide judge judy expert prank callers. That is, until our administrator came walking in one day, finding us with the phone book open, line 2 on speaker phone giving an off the hook beep, and judge judy's big old face right on the desktop. We got caught!!! aHHHH!!!!!!!!!! No more calling the local car dealerships. We're gonna miss that guy that got so pissed off and just yelled, "Lady, get off the Ritalin!".

That's the beauty of flash. It's UN-EDIT-ABLE!! But there is a way like Phoenix said to extract the sounds from the board. I'm not sure if this is the way but I think you need an adapter which plugs into your speakers and mic jacks at the back of your computer. Then you just need to record using either cool edit pro or whatever.
I have doubts that this is a 100% perfect record. But pretty darn close :D

How? I don't think so. Either way you can't possibley get 100% perfect sound. Cause there's no way to literally extract a quote directly back to its original mp3 format sound.
So do it yourself rather than taking it from soundboards.

The way I do it, you can get the exact quality of the sound that is on the Published soundboard. So if you use 32 kps quality on the published board, my way will take that sound at 32 kps. And the best part is that it is all done inside the computer. No re-recording.

I have another idea!!! To eliminate the "hissing" noise from the tv, I think it's possible to record the sound directly from the vcr!
Ok I just tried it out. The only problem is, I can't find a way to control the volume. I can get sound on my computer, but it's just way too loud!!! I wonder if there's a way....Phoenix?

You should also tell us how to get the sounds from the boards. I don't think there's a temporary "sound" files folder. Or a history of what the computer hears. How do you do it!?

Ahhhhh, Andrewson. Just and idea for the vcr volume, it may not work. I'm sure you tried this, but try using the remote when it is set to control the vcr, not while it's set to control the tv. It may not work. Did you try turning down the volume of your computer? That probably won't work either. Give me a little time, I might come up with something. As removing the sounds from the board, I already gave you my technique for ripping the sounds from the tv. So if you want this golden nugget of info, it will cost you. I don't know the price yet, maybe you make a soundboard that I want you to make and you dedicate it to little ol me. Maybe, I haven't desided yet. Supply and demand Andrewson, wax on, wax off.:D

And even if you are telling me the truth, I wouldn't really consider it "golden nugget" info because basically, all you're doing is ripping the sound from a board SOMEONE HAS ALREADY DONE. I'd rather take the extra time and customize my own work.

i did it the old-school way.

first i viewed the html text of the sounboard page and found the filename of the soundboard.

then i found a download page like the ozzy prank call.

i saved the ozzy download page txt on my pc and edited it from ozzy.mp3 to soundboard.swf.

then i saved that txt file as html and clicked the download link and downloaded the file.

i bet theires an easier way but this was is more fun.
anyway theires no need to download them just goto ebaums if you want to edit one your lame its eaiser just to make a new board.

When I make a soundboard, I'm always looking for the "BEST" way to keep the true sound quality. Taping from the tv through an adapter is far and beyond more effective then shining a mic by the speaker. So for soundboards from the tv or radio, this is the BEST...THE BEST way to conserve the sound quality. But for movies which have dvd's there is a way to get 100% perfect sound with NO "hissing" noise from the tv. That's what I use when I make soundboards. Except for one that I made for my website awhile ago. This movie doesn't have a dvd.
