I'm quiting Final Fantasy XI Online very soon. That's all I played in the last 5 years. I hear Fall Out 3, CoD4, Civilization 4, etc seem pretty cool and involving.
What else is good since 2004? Expecting a kid soon, so I'm predicting staying in a lot on the weekends.
Oh, I'm a fan of all kinds of genres (I think, it's been a while). If I had to pick: RPGs, first person shooters, strategy, simulations.

Killzone 2 is coming out soon, if you have ps3.
Halo 3 of course but Halo 3 sucks, L4D, and CoD4.
avoid WaW btw

After 5 years of online gaming I doubt you'll be able to go back to offline games. It's so boring now.

Even with playing exclusively online for 5 years, you should be able to find some fun in Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion IMO.

Don't play Fallout 3 or Oblivion, or else you'll relapse. These games will remind you of MMORPG, but without the real interactions with human players.
