Is my pixel stuck or dead? [Halp]

I just got a new monitor and finally realized 1 stuck/dead pixel.
It's only noticeable on yellow and white/light colored backgrounds(it's black), but on blue and red it works fine...
This leads me to believe it's not dead because the transistor is still partially working in the pixel.
I am currently running UDPixel(changes colors mad fast) overnight on the stuck pixel at 3ms.
Can anyone give me any hope or insight into this? :confused:
I've googled all the various fixes, and hope that running this overnight will fix...

I wouldn't call it completely dead, since it is changing colour.

But personally, I think pixel fixing software is a big waste of time. A dead pixel cannot be fixed. It's like trying to fix a burnt out lightbulb by turning it on/off rapidly.

And I doubt stuck pixels can be fixed either, otherwise manufacturers would do it themselves instead of passing them off as 'characteristics of LCD manufacturing and not a defect'.

Dead Pixels are ones that remain black all the time...so it's not a dead pixel but a stuck pixel. Sometimes they correct themselves on their own, sometimes they remain that way permanently. I've seen times where stuck pixels actually fix themselves.

Keep trying that software to see if it corrects the pixel...and you can try using the eraser end of a pencil and gently rub on the screen to see if that fixes it. If those don't work then you are SOL.

dont some monitors have like a manual reset that restores the screen entirely? It mainly fixes monitors screwed up by magnets, but may fix pixels too.

I thought that was just Degauss, and it fixes polarization on the screen. Never tried that to fix a stuck pixel before though.

I've gotten two pixels unstuck on my psp. Running the video while softly massaging the pixel fixed it.

I don't think a RMA is worth just 1 pixel, it'd be worse not to have a monitor.
