VOB movie converter help

hello..i'm looking for a free video converter that will convert VOB movie files to mpeg or avi....well anything other than VOB is good enough....they are up to 8 minutes or so long and 500mb at the most...i'm looking for a video converter that won't put a watermark on the video and will convert the whole thing (not just 1/2 like some do if you dont pay for them)....your help is appreciated...thanks

Theres a program called Auto GK found here (http://www.autogk.net/) which converts vobs to avi (using Divx or XviD codecs, which are included in the download).
Its very quick and easy to use, with most of the advanced options automatically set depending on the file.
It comes with a nice tutorial if you get stuck, so you should be able to figure it out :)

nice!!!.......thanks man this should cut down on a few of these file sizes...and i can finally use my windows media player isntead of my damn dvd player program....god i hope this works...ill post or edit after i see how well this thing works
