Don't call me a dumbass, but is it possible to run an Xbox game on a PC? I assume that you would have to get some kind of emulator. Since software for both Windows and the Xbox are written by Microsoft, I assume there shouldn't be much of a difference in the code.

yeah im sure it is possible although in my opinion it would be much easier to download the game(for backup purposes of course :) ) and download an emulator to read it. Obviously if there are emulators out there for it then it is obviously possible to encode/decode it... I dont know how but like i said it would be much easier to just download the game off the net.
